I can't connect the ace headphones to the Sonos app on android (pixels 7)

So I managed to get my android phone connected. Here is what I did, your millage might vary.
Removed the sonos app from my pixel phone.
Updated the sonos app on the Ipad pro(it was already installed but out of date). (Make sure you also login in the app to sonos)
Once updated. clicked the setup headphones button on the Ipad.
Go through the setup (note it prompts for location access which is needed to set them up for some reason.
The setup then downloads an update for the Ace and installs it.
I think re-instaled the sonos app on the Pixel, connected the headphones to bluetooth.(again ensure you log into the sonos app)
Click the setup headphones buttons in the sonos app. (note it promtps for location access now which it didn’t do before)
It takes like 30-60 seconds to connect and then it runs through the setup.
Now all of that might be unnecessary . If you don’t have a cr’Apple’ then Id recommend removing the sonos app and re-installing(rather than just upgrading it), this might have been the trick.
Oh and once you have the app installed, bass etc is then replicated across to other devices. and the TV swapp function works with the Ipad Pro (even though truePlay doesn’t) incase anyone is interested.

My suggestion is to put your phone into Bluetooth discovery mode, then power up ACE.
Thanks.. I tried that. it didn't work. I can get them paired to my phone BT fine, but not connected in the app. I’ve tried many combos of off, on, paired, not paired. The app just says “searching for nearby products” no matter what I do. I wondered if there was a very specific set of steps I needed. I guess I’m an android second class citizen...
Android is not supported for this yet. I proved it as i have an android device and apple. Apple device has an extra section Audio Tv Swap...the android app doesnt have that section
I wanted to be able to change the balance(bass) even if the swapp is not available for my arc. Seems odd that you can’t add the headphones to the android app? What’s the button doing there in the android app if thats the case? The instructions say add it in the app, even if the instructions are a bit vague.
No sorry you can add them to the app. You just don’t get the audio swap option that you do on the apple app
Well.. yes… if I could only add it to the app. I feel like I’m being a moron, how can it not “just work” ?
Have you tried updating the app from the play store. Did u scan the qr code in the quick start guide. When i did that it took me to the play store and there was actually an update to the app (i dont know if you have other sonos products). Once i did that then there was a load of stuff about headphones in the app and they then paired with the app
I pre-ordered, they arrived this morning and this is tainting the experience a bit TBH. Its already annoying that because I’m an android user I can’t use TruePlay(I can’t use the swapp function) and now I can’t even adjust the balance.
Yes I have the same problem on my Pixel 7. On my work phone iPhone 6 works all fine and you can adjust Treble/Bass and Audio Swap but unfortunately that isn't available for Android users just yet as you cannot add the Ace to the Sonos Android version. So until they update the app we're stuck with stock settings.
Apart from that I'm pleased with them, even the stock audio settings are quite good. But having a Sonos Arc, you want to have the capacity there to audio swap. I've already tried on some Dolby Atmos movies (Ford Vs Ferrari, Top Gun Maverick) and it is really good but overall not punchier than my 7 year old Sony MDR HW700s (which can do up to 9.1 Dolby Prologic II)
We have an Ipad pro,, does anyone know if the swapp works with that? Also, do the Treble/Bass settings go across devices, or is it device specific? Thanks

Actually I haven't checked that, I will try that later, use the iPhone to put bass to max and then go back to android.
iPad pro should have the Sonos iOS app but nothing like you go to the apple store and look for it. If.it has then you're off.the hook till Android gets updated. It's a big miss from Sonos and disappointing.

4 hrs on phone until Matt in the Phillipines asked if I had An I phone ,I didn't but wife did and it works fine Android has no date yet
Having the same problem with my Google Pixel 7 Pro. Cannot connect to the Sonos app and therefore cannot use the headphones with my Arc setup. Works fine with my bluetooth music apps. I do hope they fix this soon. It was the main reason I bought them.

Uninstalling and re-installing the app did not fix the problem; however, restarting my Pixel did… who would have guessed.
Same Problem, but no iphone available to work around it.
Gonna rant a little...I got them this moring at 5am (amazon) , took them out of the box, connected via Bluetooth fine, tried to add them to the app, app updated, still coulnt add them, but htem back int he box and at 6:05 am, I’ve completed the Amazon return.
I REALLY wanted to like these, but there just isnt enough functionality for me as an Android user, to justify keepign them over a Bose or Sony. /rant

I also managed to get if fixed but all I did was to reinstall the app on my Pixel 7, restart the phone and the Sonos app recognized the Ace (but they need to be already paired with the phone's Bluetooth)

EXACTLY. same thing for me.
I have a Pixel 7 Pro. I was able to get audio swap to work by borrowing my step-daughter’s iPhone long enough to set it up and discover the headphones in the app. Once done I then switched back to my Pixel and the app saw the headphones. You may have to reboot your Pixel first. There is no audio swap button in the Android app, but you can use the content button on the headphones. You will have head tracking and ANC in the app. This should bide you until the update, you will just need to round up an iPhone or iPad. I have now listened to a good quality Dolby Atmos movie recorded at high volume (e.g. John Wick 2) and these headphones rock!! Trust me, with a good Atmos like John Wick 2 you will not be able to turn the headphones all the way up. You can with John Wick 1, but not John Wick 2. There many others (e.g. Man of Steel, Pacific Rim, Godzilla King of the Monsters, etc.) just find a good one that was recorded at high volume. Whatever you do don’t judge these headphones with streaming. You need wifi audio swap and a good Dolby Atmos 4k blu-ray. It’s amazing! Can’t wait for TrueCinema.
