New Sonos App - An Abomination!!!

Sonos appears to be trying to do I’ve away long-time, loyal users of their products away with this new App. Is anyone else finding this App to be one of the most frustrating Apps ever delivered???.  I have iOS.  The prior App worked beautifully, and was so intuitive.  It is not that this App is totally non-intuitive (although a giant step down from the prior App), but when you select a device to play from, and then select the musi you want played, and hit “Play” on its own, it has reverted back to the first device on the list (Bathroom in our case). I have to go through at least 5+ iterations to finally get it to work.  Either go back to the previous App, or fix this damned thing.  I am growing to hate SONOS, in spite of the fact that I LOVED it before!!!

You simply tap the name of your system (top left of Home Screen) OR drag up the ‘now playing’ section from the bottom of your Home Screen. This brings up your available speakers.

Tap the room/speaker you want to play music in. This sets it as the next speaker to play music.

Select the music you want to play. It will play from the room you selected.

I hate it! My biggest complaint is I can’t add to the queue while a particular playlist, album, is playing. The old app did everything I could do on my computer. Now for full use, I need to use my computer.

I have had sonos for many years and always say how good it is. It’s just going down hill. None of my speakers appear anymore. I have done a factory reset and been trying to connect my speakers for overs on end and no luck. Eventually got it connected and then the speaker stayed for 5 minutes and then disappeared again.

Thank you, Rhonny.  I love I’ll try this approach.  Have I looked at this forum?  I absolutely did, and it is VERH DIFFICULT to locate anything by topic.   I believe your big mistake is that you just rolled out this new App, with no instructions regarding how different it would be, and how to navigate through it.  A tutorial of some sort would have helped a lot.  The original SONOS App was very intuitive.  This version is definitely NOT INTUITIVE!!!
