Latest app update on iOS is horrendous

Cannot believe how bad this most recent app update is, so many previously available features appeared to have been removed, not to mention how non-intuitiveness the revamped interface now is.

The app also seems to very unresponsive or lethargic at best, with delays in processing the simplest of commands such as volume adjustments or wanting to play something from a music service, mostly Spotify in my scenario.

Would like to know whether this is an issue as a result of power struggles between Apple, Spotify and Sonos. At the end of the day, we the consumer are being penalised so sort this out please.

You are absolutely correct this update is horrendous!

My surround e300 stopped working and had to reset the whole system.
when trying to re tune using Trueplay it doesn’t work and freezes on continue and I have to reboot my iPhone to gain access to the app again.
Sonos must know this has been a disaster and surely will release a statement of what they are going to do about all these issues caused by this failure of an update.

I have been a massive advocate of Sonos ever since I purchased my very first Play 5 back in 2013. Have told friends and family how good the system is and even convinced them to purchase products themselves. I’ve expanded my system over the past 10 years but operationally Sonos has gotten worse, and I can’t help but think that Apple are being awkward as they try to push their own audio and TV services. That said, come on Sonos sort this out.

The app is getting more and more complicated. What happened to the timer function?

this update takes forever to refresh and connect to a new system. It’s way harder to use than the prior version
