Hi, Thank you for these beautiful sound system. I have a boring problem. As said in the title, I must launch two times the music to have it started. After it's OK. But when I come back after few hours, I still need again to push play two times. -This does not appear with jack connection-This appear with Android Sonos S2 app-This happen when I say "OK Google start music..." Thanks for your help.
Hi - I have a Sonos Playbase with 2 X Playbase 1 as surround. The Playbase has dropped connectivity and will not re-connect. When I try to re-connect, the apps states press the “Figure 8” when you hear the chimes, but the chime is literally a nano second, unlike before and nothing happens. There has been no change to my network. When I managed to get it connected briefly earlier, the moment you adjusted the volume the connectivity would drop. Thanks,R
My Sonos Move was able to connect to 5 ghz wifi before updating software to be compatible with S2. After updating to S2, it can only detect/connect to 2.4 ghz wifi. (All my other device connected to my 5 ghz wifi just fine) Anybody experiencing the same issue/find the solution? or is it perhaps just an S2 bugs. What I’ve done so far: Reset + Reinstall sonos S2 app Reset Sonos Move Restart Router
My music library is sourced from my iTunes music library, and I rarely have duplicates there. However when looking at albums in my Sonos 2 app music library, many albums have the same tracks 2 or 3 times. Where one truly is a duplicate in iTunes I delete the whole duplicate album and then I update my Sonos library. However the duplicate (and triplicate) tracks are still there. How do I get rid of them? Thx
So I have a Samsung QN65Q7FAM tv with a New Sonos ArcIs Dolby digital + the best sound I can achieve? The Samsung rep told me I would have better sound with a different brand of TV lol..I also have a PS4 not sure if you can use it to boost the sound quality or not. Thanks in Advance!
After recent iOS upgrades (it seems), my Sonos 1 speaker stopped showing up as a choice from my iPhone. I have done no other changes, to my network or the router setup. I did try deleting my Sonos app and reinstalling it. The odd part is that I can still play to my Sonos from my iMac by choosing on the AirPlay drop down.I can also play to my Sonos speaker from the iPhone Sonos app - see below, but no longer as a drop down anymore from the iPhone home screen. In the attached, I am playing music to my Sonos, through the app. but the second attachment, the speaker is not showing, even though the music is actually playing to the speaker from my phone I used to be able to select my Sonos speaker (Name of speaker = “Home”) from the drop down here.
Does anyone know how frequently the classical Concert Hall and Holiday curated playlists change? I subscribe to HD for superb quality, but I’m becoming aware of the list repeating itself. Also, does anyone, like me, wish for Full Concerto so that more than a single movement of a violin concerto can be heard?
Hi, There is a bopping sound from active sub on Amp while pausing Apple TV playing a movie. Bopping sounds stops immediately when resuming movie playing. Bopping also disappears when muting or turning down the volume in the relevant room, whol Bopping noise stops when turning off sub via Sonos app in the Amp’s room settings.
Hi,I have an issue regularly (once every 15 days approximately) with my SYMFONISK and my livebox 4 (Orange France ISP). Every Wifi devices are working properly but the SONOS devices are unreachable from my iphone (SE 2020 with latest updates). I have a wifi repeater and several wifi devices in many rooms and they are all working fine. Each time, I have to reboot my livebox 4 in order to connect to my sonos devices again. It is not a big thing but this is these little things that prevent you to enjoy the simplicity of the Sonos environnement should be. Does anyone have some hint on how could I investigate further in order to put the Sonos engineers on the way to solve this issue ?
This appears to be an issue many users have but hasn’t been resolved under any post. I can login to Stitcher through the Stitcher app, and the web interface. However, when I try to add that service to Sonos, upon entering my login and password i get the error “The Stitcher server did not recognize your login information”. I am using a password manager and have confirmed multiple times that the login information is indeed correct. Diagnostic submitted, confirmation number 730839779. Suspect that Sonos may be doing something to process the password before it’s sent to Stitcher. I can change my Stitcher password if need be (ie to not include special characters or whatever), but if that’s the case I need to know that’s what’s happening on Sonos’s end. Many thanks for any assistance/information!
We have had our Sonos and Spotify Premium for four years, everything was working well. For the last two weeks whenever we try to play music from Spotify through our Sonos we keep getting an error message ‘cannot connect to Sonos. We have uninstalled then reinstalled the apps, updated everything, reset the wifi. But still not connecting. Sonos will only play our radio stations. Any tips or other things to try would be a big help. Thanks
I have a stereo pair of Sonos 1s in my kitchen. Tonight, they weren’t showing on the Sonos App and they failed to connect via Airplay. Alexa was working, so must have been internet connected. I’ve twice reset them and reconnect them ( Amber/White flashing, Green… discovered…. setup… rebooted ) and they’re not appearing. On Airplay, they are ‘unknown room’ but cannot connect What else can I try ? thanks
Hi! I have a Sonos One (Gen 2) that is refusing to play the songs from a particular album that I recently uploaded into my Apple Music Library (so it is playing from cloud). All other Sonos devices (1 x Playbar, 5 x SLs, A Play:5 Gen 2, a Move and a Port) play the songs fine. The One was originally in a Stereo pair with an SL but when I remove the stereo pair, the SL plays the songs fine. It is just this One (non-SL)! I keep getting the encoding error message, when trying to play these songs on the One: I have factory reset, but to no avail? Any suggestions?
Hi, I have my Sonos connected to my SkyQ box via Optical and I keep getting sound drop-off only for a millisecond or so while watching TV.. Can anyone help please?Present output settings on SkyQ are:Digital audio output optical - Dolby Digital
I’m relatively new to Sonos so I may call things incorrectly. I’m in the US.I am having trouble getting a particular free Sonos Radio station to play consistently. The Spa station can play for days and then one day just will not play at all. I spent several hours this morning off and on trying to get it to play. I can immediately play a different station so I don’t think it is a networking problem and my hardware has not changed in weeks. The only thing I can imagine is that I might be running out of play time but I can’t find any documentation that that is a thing for Sonos Radio or iheartradio on Sonos.Any ideas?
I see Sonos community keep closing this topic and brushing it off like it’s normal.Sonos idle without streaming any content is using between 89kbs and 500kbs throughout the day and night. Why is it using this constant data. Add this up and at average usage and that’s 1GB per hour 24GB every 24 hours 720GB a month… Idel! There’s either some redundant bandwidth stealing, CPU usage or bitcoin mining going on with these devices we should be aware of.Thankfully I’ve got a network I can track and set usage routines with, so I’ve cut off this massive data drain from my network when not it use.The more I learn about Sonos and the more I get to use their controlling, overbearing software, the less I like them. With smarter phones, networks and speakers which just do great music, without controlling networks and forcing you to use buggy apps and hardware, hopefully Sonos will be the “midi disc” of their time with a cult following of nerds who’ll always love them, but not because they made music an
Hello i have a sonos play:1 and i think a sonos bridge and have just moved. Nothings working and nothings finding anything? Anyone know what to do? -thanks
So I got a sonus 1 as a gift. Set it up about a year ago and it worked great. Then recently it stopped playing from my iphone app. So I updated the app and still it would not connect. Okay, lets check the set up. So I go through all of the steps to reconnect without success. So I think okay lets go back and reset it. Surely this will work. I go through the process and as I go through the steps it has a problem finding my network. Now I just don’t understand this. I have had no problems with any other technology in my house. My sonus was working a month ago. Nothing has changed. Why all of a sudden is my network not found? To me this is really frustrating. No I did not reboot my router. I did reset the unit and it did find my network. It did attempt to connect but ended up with some problem. What could be the problem? So now I can use it as a wired speaker? That sort of defeats the purpose. Do I give it away? Why will it work any differently elsewhere? Not sure where I go from here but
My problem is sound is cutting in and out from my Line-in to Sonos Port setup. The sound cuts in and out, from left and right stereo and also sounds like a tearing noise or pops. Any ideas on a fix? Here is what I have already tried: changing out cables, changing out preamps, changing compression setting in app, and changing audio delayed settings. I ran a diagnostic and sent it in to Sonos my number is 1024742482. Thanks for the help, hope we can figure this out!
Is it really that bad? Because at this point, it feels that bad. I have a stereo pair of sonos ones (the main speaker being the second gen, the other 1st) and a sonos move. I have no other google speakers in the house and to lessen any confusion from my Google assistants part, I even disengaged it on my phone. I have problems nearly 100% of the time with google. Simple commands such as, "pause," "play some music", or "skip this song" or mainly everything music related I get a constant, "Sorry, something went wrong, when you're ready, give it another try." Or, my favorite one is, "Sorry, I can't do that here, but you can ask me to play it on one of your other devices." This happens all the time. If it does work, it's usually on the second or third try, and by then I'm so frustrated I wish I never invested in these speakers. Spotify is my main squeeze, but anything streaming related seems to be a nightmare. I've tried rebooting google assistant but nothing works and now I feel lik
Hi, I’ve just moved my music library onto an SD card and it’s working perfectly for my Music app on the MacBook. However, Sonos will not recognise it as a music folder so now I can’t see my music library on Sonos. SD card is all formatted correctly and working fine otherwise. Please does anyone have any ideas / fixes I could try? Thank you.
I was so excited to upgrade to an WiFi 6 System with Tri Band. I had a dual band AIMesh from Asus had no issues at all everything worked out of the box. Especially after spending the money for a 5.1 Sonos System. That was a hard one to justify spending that much money but after listening to the system I was good and have been for several years. Now it is time to upgrade the Home WiF to AX ok going with the Asus XT8 2 pack more money. Got them out of the box and setup and now the work started. Sonos doesn’t connect!! I try a couple times to connect and run the setup. All the way to the end and it is not added. Well the app tells you the hardware is added but you may have to unplug/plug the power for it to appear in system. WRONG ANSWER!! Looking and I see there are a few people in the same situation. Who would have thought that a piece of network equipment will turn you system into a brick, in my case a $1500 Brick. Hmmmm, kinda feel like a Fool and his money have parted now
Hey guys, I have the issue that after turning the tv off via remote control the screen goes black but the status light of the tv still indicates it’s on. After some time the screen is grey and ON. This started happening after connecting the Sonos Arc to the tv. I’ve tried a couple of settings in the App such as TV Autoplay on/off and carious combinations of remote control settings. No luck so far with this issue. Can anyone help?
The App (Version is actual) los the sonos devices. After Restart of all System it works for few hours. After that time the App can't connect to the sonos devices. It's going on my nerves, what can I do to fix this issue?
