Hey Guys, just wondering if anyone else has the same issues or a potential solution. when playing Dolby atmos discs through my LG OLED and Panasonic 4K player, during loud scenes the sounds pops in and out intermittently for about half a second. During quiet scenes, I experience no drop out and I have no issues when playing Atmos tracks through streaming services. I’ve tried changing HDMI cables and 4K players with no improvement. any suggestions would be great cheerssteve
Synology DS920+ issues with Sonos.Sonos was working fine with the Sonos Music Library pointing to a share on a Windows 2012 server.Sonos could see a MediaMonkey shared library hosted as a service on a Windows 10 (and 11) PC.Sonos could see a Window Media shared library hosted on a Windows 10 or 11 PC with media streaming enabled. With a Synology DS920+ NAS added:Sonos works with the Sonos Music Library pointing to a share on the Synology NAS, so at least I can play some of my music (my main collection is too big for the Sonos Music Library). I THINK I could do this without the NTMLv1 SMB1 hack below, but may be wrong.Sonos cannot see the Media Server library on the Synology DS920+.Sonos cannot see the Plex Media Server library on the Synology DS920+.Other PCs on the network can see both the Media and Plex servers. My Sony KDL-40W705C can see both the Media and Plex servers.Sonos does not, however, see the Twonky Media Server on my aged Zyxel NSA310Adding the Plex service to Sonos does n
The problem is minor and just started on its own, I do not play this station, it is not a favorite, nor is it a recommendation.FM Revolution is a station on Tune In that is from Buenos Aries. It is not a favorite, I have never picked or played that station. It’s the same dial # as KINK FM in Portland Oregon which I do listen to. 101.9 fm. That is the only thing in common.Yes, it is still showing up on my Arc playbar in the S2 app as the last thing played. This happens most every day and after the TV had been on.Tune In has no phone service support and have not been helpful via email. I am just not sure why this has happened.
I got a new modem from Vodafone. Sonos one won't connect to the WiFi. All other devices in the house working fine.
I am having trouble streaming all my songs in my Apple Music playlists. In my Apple Music app, they are all available and can be played. In the Sonos app, certain songs are “greyed out” and not available. The album artwork is not there either, it has a symbol that looks like the Saturn planet. It’s getting very frustrating using Sonos when all my music is not available.Any help is much appreciated!
Hello I have in my kitchen 2 sonos one paired as stereo. In my living room i recently got a port. All 3 devices are wired and deactivated wireless. When grouping kitchen and living room i get a delay and it creates an ecco. Sounds terrible. Is there anything to do?
Hi. It is not clear for me if I can use only 1 one SL for rear sound. I have an ARC + SUB and 2 one SL for front left and right. So i have no rear sound and my room config is not made to have 2 rear speakers. Can I just use 1 one SL for that? Is it going to work? Will I have sound going thru when I’ll watch a movie? Or listening music? Thanks in advance for your support.
hi,i have since a few some issues with independant volume in a groupe. i can change some, but not the others (wich are grey) and don’t know why.my app (computer and android) are updated and the devices are here in the exemple, the last ARC and a play3 (so not a pattern between new and old devices). i can only change cuisine and salon or group but not individualy Bureau or RoamThanks for answers
In my living room I have had two Fives and a Sub for some time. My turntable is plugged into one of the Fives, and everything works perfectly. Last week I bought an Arc. My plan was to use the Arc under the TV, and the two Fives as surround speakers, with the sub still tucked away in the corner - perfect.Sadly, this appears to not be possible as I had expected, as using a Five for a surround speaker turns off Line-In, which means I can no longer play records. As a result, I now have two setups in one room - one that I had before, and a separate setup for the Arc with no sub and no surround speakers.Have I reached the edge of what I can do? Does buying an amp fix this problem? (that seems mad). Is there any way to get all of my speakers to play nicely but still be able to play records? I would be extremely grateful for any coaching or ideas. Thanks.
Hi, I’m living partly in Switzerland and Thailand. At both locations I’m using Sonos. In Switzerland stands my DS214play with my music collection on.I would like to connect my DSplay214 with the Sonos system in Thailand. I tried several version of possible paths when adding a new music library but it never worked. The music is under the path “DSplay214/music/Charlie’s Musik”How do I have to write this link correctly to get a connection? Thanks for your help.Charlieguzzi (chaefeli@bluewin.ch)
Despite having had a Boost installed for quite some time now, I noticed earlier today that my Sonos subwoofer is connected to my wireless network. I first noticed it in my Unifi network dashboard as ‘Sonos Connect Hero’ and then cross-referenced that to ‘About my system’ using IP address.I had noticed before that despite the Boost, my 5ghz network seems to randomly re-appear in the Sonos network settings. Each time, I remove it, then some time later it reappears. How do I permanently ensure that the sub is connecting only via the Boost and NONE of the Sonos speakers are connecting to my wifi?
Thank you to all who reply, I appreciate your help. Currently I have an Arc with a Sub 3 and a pair of Moves. They are two separate rooms. I have just now ordered a pair of Fives and a second Sub3. I would like to remove the two Moves, but keep them paired and now if possible with the Arc and Sub3 add in the two new Fives which will of course be a stereo pair and the second Sub3.This I believe will allow me to have a surround system. Is there a best way forward to achieve this? Thank you for any and all suggestions. I
My Sonos beam gen 1 and it’s Alexa function has issues accessing Apple Music.Ive deleted Apple Music skill from the Alexa app and re linked it etc still no joy.any idea please.
Hi everyone, Does any of you know what could be the reason for the Sub casing to meltdown ? The sub is functional, but I am not sure if any of the internal components are affected. The sub was purchased new 8 months ago, and the warranty is still valid. I really love my SONOS system, and didn’t expect to see this on the case. Thank you in advance
Alexa and Sonos stopped working a couple of days ago. I’ve removed and factory reset everything reinstalled and setup again but with no joy. All other alexa devices work fine
Hi,I went from a 10+ year old 5.1 sound system for half the price to a sonos beam (gen 2) with sub mini and 2 one sl. Over all im impressed, the sound is amazing. Music sounds way better than before and so does the over all environmental sound in movies. However the speech sounds like it comes from a boosted small telephone speaker, no depth what so ever. On my old system the speech was not as clear but it still had more depth and sounded more natural and in sync with the rest of the soundpicture. Now it feels like the speech is coming from a different sound source than the rest of the sound. I vissited a friend who have an arc with sub gen 3 and 2 one sl and i actually felt the same way. We only tried console gaming, but the speech in the games sounded the same as on my system in movies, high piched and out of the picture. My companion in game (god of war ragnarok) sounded like i talked to him on the phone and not in the same environment.I have tested the loudness feature, trueplay tu
I'm running Android 13 on a Pixel 5a. I have the latest version of Sonos, 14.18.2, S2.A while ago I could control the volume from the Android Lock Screen. I've tried everything on every link Sonos has on this topic, still no luck. Any suggestions? Is this working for other Android users? Thanks.
I have a Sonos bridge that of course cannot be updated. I have a playbar and a Sonos 1. mad I cannot update the bridge, I cannot link my Alexa. my question is, can I just remove the bridge and reconnect the playbar and play 1 directly to the internet? Apologies, I’m not that tech savvy so I need simple. L
How do I factory reset a play 5
Hopefully the hive mind can help. My wife was struggling accessing one room on Sonos. It turned out to be a WiFi error subsequently.I’m not sure how she did it but she established another Kitchen group ( called Kitchen 2) which includes components which weren’t in there. ( a Sonos Connect) i seem stuck with it. Even though the group and items aren’t there. The connect is in another room performing fine. Try as I might im unable to delete the room or the connect from it.Do I have to delete the whole system and start again ? It’s just an increasing annoyance. Thanks
I have two stand alone Alexa device (an echo and a dot), alexa on a sonos move and alexa on a sonos beam. Until about a week ago these were working fine, but suddenly alexa on the sonos beam seemed to think it was on a different account (it isn’t I’ve checked several times and even uninstalled it and reinstalled it).Anyway if I now say to the sonos beam alexa ‘turn on tv’ it answers ‘umm that doesn’t seem to be on the account’. Last week it just turned the TV on or off as requested. The Alexa on the Sonos Move will turn on the TV as will my other Alexa devices.Of if I say play LBC it does play it but says ‘ playing LBC London from Flora’s Global Player’ (Flora is my wife’s name and she doesn’t have an LBC account), whereas last week it just used to say ‘playing LBC London from Global Player’, as it still does with my other devices. If I say ‘play BBC Radio 4’ it now says ‘you need to connect to your BBC account to listen to Alexa. You only need to do this once. Would like me to send a l
I currently am using my Sonos Port to stream music. Connection is rca cables from Line Out jacks on the PORT to preamp into the Tuner input jacks. When I need to stream music I set my preamp to TUNER and use the Sonos 2 app and select my service (Pandora) from the opening list of options. I have a Planer 2 turntable without a preamp and was hoping to simply use the Sonos Port Line In jacks for the turn table but that does not work. If I connect the turn table directly to my preamp first, as suggested by Sonos staff, I have to switch the output to TURN TABLE on my preamp, which effectively bypasses the Sonos Port functionality. This seems like a death spiral to me. Can anyone help?
Curious if you use a Netgear Nighthawk router, do you use and have the Smart Connect option turned on?
It’s 2022 and Sonos is still dependent on SMB v1! I just tried making SMB v2 the minimum on my Synology NAS were my music resides, and Sonos could not access it. Until I turned on SMB v1 again. When I did this I got the strong warning shown below. Are there any plans to retire the Sonos dependency on SMB v1?
It just stopped working! I link up radio stations and I ask Alexa to play and she acknowledges station but then nothing. Any help out there?
