This morning I went to play music within my house, and all the components do not exist. When I try to add them, it’s looking for a pin that does not exist on many of the components. When I try to add a component with a pin, system will not save it. There are over 50 devices that were in my system.
I want everyone in my household to be able to access "recently played" but I don't want everyone to have admin rights on the system. As far as I can tell its not currently possible to give people access to recently played without also giving them admin rights. Please make it possible.
Hi Sonos, today one of my Beam Gen 2’s presented with the persistent white flashing light and was unresponsive to everything - power reset, factory reset, Ethernet connection etc. Totally dead, apart from the DREADED WHITE FLASHING LIGHT!Online chat was great, and concluded the unit has failed. Return and Replacement arranged, which is great.BUT, now looking online in this forum and elsewhere (Reddit etc) I see countless others whose Beam Gen 2’s have suffered the same fate for no apparent reason. Often on very new units still under warranty, indeed mine was very infrequently used as it was in the second living room and not our main TV or Beam.I think it is only right that Sonos, provide us, your loyal customers, with some explanation as to;why this keeps happening, wether it is avoidable, what Sonos is doing about it to ensure reliability of the Bean Gen 2,and importantly wether Sonos will honour a replacement for every unit that presents this fault, regardless of current warranty? It se
whe3n opened it states that there is no products, then it requires re-authorinzing, but it won’t send the email required for the re-authorizationand I can’t even turn up or down the volume - actually I have no control over my system at all anymore - that was okay until the streaming programs changed and I can’t do anything, my system is now useless PLEASE BRING BACK THE LAST APP
I want to setup a music library for all my media files. I was wondering if I could transfer the music to my Xbox Series X and use that as a network available drive, rather than buying a NAS drive.
Hi there, I just purchased a used Sonos Playbase, but it has this weird metal mount stuck to the bottom - I do not know what it is or now to remove it. Any help would be much appreciated please - especially with regard to ‘how to get it off’. Thanks
I have used Sonos speakers to listen to music every night when going to sleep for the past couple of years. In the past couple months though the volume on every song is wildly different. If I start off at a soft volume the next song may be blaring loud and needs to be lowered. Then the next song will be too low to hear. It did NOT used to work like this. I play directly from Apple Music on my iPhone over airplay. I have sound check turned on. This got so bad that I just bought some lower quality HomePods for my bedroom. Every song is rock solid on the same volume. I NEED this from Sonos. Please fix this
Hiya. I have a Sonos Arc coming next week so upgraded to the Sonos 2 app All of my other Sonos bits have connected fine. Although I have had to create a new account for my Play 5 in the old app. But my gen1 sub won’t connect to my playbar now. before I used a Sonos bridge to connect everything but that is not compatible with the 2 app. Any help would be appreciated but please keep it simple as I’m not Teck minded.
Okay Sonos, you promised (live during the last AMA session) that the Ace would be updated with some kind of new TrueCinema capabilities by the end of July. It's July 31st and not a peep.…Should we be worried?
As a long time Sonos user, I wish more focus and attention be given to the installation of a Music Library. This special feature, in my opinion, is what sets Sonos apart from other current music streamers. I'm a collector and many of my treasured albums are out of print and are not on streaming services. This is one of two major reasons why I considered Sonos as the gold standard in wireless music distribution. The other being its wireless multizone capability.I have a combination of legacy and newer Sonos units. I obviously use the S1 as my app in order to accommodate and play all my units in one system. However, the Connect Amps and Play 5s can only play music from my library when grouped with a Connect or with any of the newer units. I've reset my legacy units several times but they still are denied access to my library. By the way, my NAS is a Synology that contains only music and picture files. Would appreciate recommendations on how to fix this. And no, I do not want to get rid
Why does my Sonos app never connect to my Wi-Fi anymore? It always says there’s no Wi-Fi connection but then when you go through the system set up it connects to my Wi-Fi and then lags. This new upgrade. Sucks. Sonos has become the stupidest joke when it comes to tech
I'm curious what others feel about Sonos favorites in the new (v80) app. I'm sure people have provided feedback previously but a lot of this feedback is probably buried in the massive general feedback threads. I think it would be interesting to have a dedicated thread on Sonos favorites. Please add your thoughts. Here are my thoughts...I'm not particularly fond of the way favorites has been implemented in the new app. In the old (v16) app different favorite sections were placed on the My Sonos tab and if I remember correctly I could re-arrange the order of the different sections to my personal preference. In the new app its not possible to arrange the order of favorite sections within the main favorites screen, and the favorites we see on the home screen are not under our control. It seems to me that recently added favorites are shown on the home screen. This isn't the favorites section that I want on the home screen, and so for me is just a waste of space, even more so since it occupie
The new Sonos (Web) App is missing important curated playlists from Tidal:My New Arrivals My Daily DiscoveryMissing Playlists in Sonos They can’t be found when searching for them and neither are available when browsing in “My Collection” under Mixes or Playlists. Please make these available @SONOS
This is driving me nuts. I want to use Apple Music. I get the message Your Apple Musiv account access has expired. I am asked to sign in which i do. I get back to Your Services. Press Manage content It says you must sign out and sign back as the ownerof these services. I cant delete and reauthorise Apple Music Is it IOS18?
I see the playlist on the app but they are empty
This may prove informative to some and upsetting to others. Judging from the negative posts that continue to inundate this community regarding the app there will probably be quite a few upset. I’m sure those who are; or rather disagree, will have choice words to leave as a reply. So be it😑To my point, I started a stream of Tidal Smooth Jazz music to my Five’s in stereo pair from my iPad Pro M4 using the latest version of the Sonos app and iOS 18.0.1.I proceeded to close the app on my iPad and open it on my iPhone 15 ProMax with the same parameters of Sonos app and iOS. I made a few adjustments to volume looked at other areas of my system via the app and finally closed the app on my iPhone.Next stop….Samsung Galaxy Tab running Android14. Performed similar operations on it as was done on my iPhone and then closed the app on it as well. All the while the Tidal music stream hasn’t missed a beat. Moving on I adjourned to my office where I have a stereo pair of Move2’s . I decided to manual
sonos play 1 is no longer compatible with the new update. the previous app can no longer be found. the suggestions to fix the problem don't work. what can I do ?
I go to play my Souncloud likes and get the following. Nothing. Lists of music artists are gone. Worked fine this morning. Mixcloud and all other music services work fine. Anyone else experiencing this?
I have a new Apple TV 4K (2022 third generation) and a Sonos Playbar. Despite setting the Apple TV to use IR, rebooting the ATV remote and going through the Sonos TV setup, I cannot reliably control the Playbar volume. Each time I turn the ATV on, I can only decrease the volume; if I visit the ATV Remote settings, I can increase the volume and use the mute button. The remote is certainly working as pressing the volume up button flashes an LED on the ATV - it’s just not being reliably recognised by the Playbar.
Hi everyone. I thought my Roam was dead. All it displayed was an orange light. Could not switch off/ on or reset, tried all the button in for 15 / 30 seconds, still dead.I know this has been the subject of several threads on here, so I thought I would share my experience.Tried everything, was actually in phone queue waiting to speak to Sonos Support, looked up, and hey presto, all was well, I had a white light and everything was working fine. I know it’s bizarre, but if all else fails be patient.
I’m not able to install Sonos S2 App on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. All other apps are installing smoothly as normal.I’ve followed all available procedures on both from Sonos and Play Shop and ofc all the basics.Have called Sonos but they were not able to helpAny suggestions? BRKlaus
After latest update my surround speakers have semi disappeared by which I mean they don’t work (but I can still start/stop playback and change volume on the beam using the physical units). The beam shows no surrounds in app but they do show as surrounds under Sonos system info. I also can no longer find the settings for managing what the surrounds should do when it’s not surround sound supported audio. Wanted to check that wasn’t a problem.I genuinely can’t believe updates are still causing problems. What are they spending all these millions on?!I can just about remember when using Sonos was a joy but the memory is fading. Anyone got any suggestions? (Please don’t suggest calling support that isn’t helpful).
Hi The issue has gotten worse over the past few months, and not sure if all the updates with the Sonos App has hurt it. Now Spotify is integrated into the system, I would think it would be more seamless. When an ad comes up, or sometimes just randomly, playback will get stuck and stop. And there’s like no way to get it back, I can’t get it to play anything on Spotify anymore. I have to start playing something else just to get it unstuck. Anyway, playing Spotify almost isn’t worth it for how often it’s happening now. Please help,
I have old rectangular in ceiling speakers that connect to a sonos amp. I want to replace the speakers and not have to do too much patch work. Can I use the in wall rectangular speakers in the ceiling?
Hi,We have multiple house connected throught optical fiber and multiple Sonos Amp in the same network subnet (about twenty). We would to know how can we optimize the network (using igmp snooping, create subnet for each house or each zone, enable multicast routing on router).Thank you in advance for your feedback.
