App Updates!

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

So much for the promised 2 weekly app updates.

What a joke Sonos have become. I find it hard to believe the board haven't fired the CEO.

Updates are usually on a Tuesday, there was a firmware update last Tuesday so less than a week ago. Sonos consists of both an App and firmware but they are not always updated at the same time.

You need to look at the release notes. I do know the difference between app and firmware, do you? I am quite clearly talking about the app!

The delay is probably related to iOS 18 releasing tonight. Along with the 2 week app update schedule, they made promises for better and open communication as well as the app release schedule. Can’t do either it seems.

The CEO never said App, only software.

We plan to continue releasing new software updates on a bi-weekly cadence. With each release, we will share detailed notes on what we’ve addressed and what we’re working on next in our Community.

I’m kind of with the other person. He doesn’t have an attitude. Like most of us, we spent a lot of hard cash and it is super frustrating to wait for Sonos to make things right again. Nitpicking about what the CEO said isn’t fixing the problem. Just adding to the ever building anger we have for a product that, if we had the chance for a do over, wouldn’t be on our “gonna buy” list.

On the other hand, being angry with another member of the public is unlikely to be overly useful.

It’s as useful as members of the public feeling they should defend the Sonos corporation… 😉

Well, as lovely as this thread is, I don’t see it going anywhere useful any time soon - it’s getting closed before it goes too far.

For the record, we never vowed to release an update every two weeks, we just aimed to do so.
