New Android App interface is very frustrating, a step backwards

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

I’m a long time user of Sonos products with over 20 devices installed in my home.  I also have quite a few streaming services.

Since the upgrade on my phone there are 2 sources that I can NOT find or navigate to, and I’m getting really pissed.

The first is the basic “TuneIn” service.  under my channels I have 40+ items to choose from.  You can not currently find it.  If you try and add “TuneIn” they are pushing their Premium Service that requires an account and I’m sure will not contain my added channels.  Where did the base service go?

Second is the Sonos Playlists music source.  It use to be easy to navigate to and pick a playlist.  Now it is nowhere to be found.  I have 50+ playlists that a great amount of time was spent creating and again, the new interface does not provide a way to see them.

Sonos, this upgrade is a huge step backwards in my opinion. Not sure who approved the UI but they obviously have not used the old interface enough to know it.  Also half of the info blocks in the home screen never load, I just have a bunch of empty square boxes, so no Idea what they connect to.  My WiFI is very good, and my home internet service is 1 Gb, so it is not a connection or throughput issue.

Before pushing this app was pushed out, alot more testing should have been done.

PLEASE GET THIS STUFF FIXED, VERY FRUSTRATED !!!!!!!

I have also 'lost' my Music Library and Playlists. Is Sonos waging war on its customer base?

What a disappointment.  I bought my first Sonos product over 5 years ago, and it seems every ‘improvement’ makes the system worse. Can’t edit the playlist? Seriously?  I seriously question what’s going on with Sonos.

Totally agree about the interface. Not only is it confusing and cluttered it's a step back insurability. I still don't know how to add my rooms to one that's playing.

I’m having lots of problems. How does one get a Sonos technician to respond to these comments?

Absolutely agree. More often than not, when I access my Sonos app I get 'System not Found '. Have to try multiple times before it works. The new update makes navigation of everything confusing. There was not much wrong with S2, why change it.

If you're going to release updates at least ensure they are not so buggy.
