Controllers & Music Services

I've tried uninstall/reinstall, restart both apps, remove and reconnect..refresh Playlist, pretty much everything I can think of and Sonos will only see about half of my Amazon Playlist. I do have the Amazon unlimited. The ability to play my full Amazon Playlist on my Sonos system on shuffle is about 95% of the reason I have this system and I would really like to figure out how to get it back to working properly like it always did up until recently. Does anybody know what this issue between Sonos and Amazon Music is? Thanks!

Hi Sonos Team,Since the recent app update, I’ve encountered several critical issues:1. *All my products (Playbar, Sub, Sonos 1 x2) have disappeared from the app.*2. *I performed a factory reset on each device to reconnect them, but they are not reconnecting.*3. *The Playbar shows an error indicating it's connected but doesn't appear in the app.* I’ve attached a screenshot of this error and followed the suggested steps without success.4. *The Sonos 1 speakers get the same error message as the Playbar.*5. *The Playbar does show up on my WiFi network.*Everything was working perfectly before the update without any issues. Please advise on how to resolve these problems as soon as possible.

I changed my Amazon password.  Now I can’t use the Alexa voice assistant thru Sonos. I went to the app - and when I try to add a voice assistant, I am told that Alexa is “Already added”OK but it’s not working. So then I go to the “Voice Assistants” option under Settings > Manage -- and I see no Voice Assistants listed.  So there I tap the “Add a voice assistant” option and I am taken to a list which tells me Alexa is “Already added.” Sonos - please fix this bug.  Or can someone tell me how to work around this failure?

I have a house literally full of Sonos…please please explain why your App is sooo poor?  Cant search Amazon Music or Spotify Cant change volume Can’t change roomscan do all of above on Alexa…however funnily enough sound quality isn’t quite the same …Please please sort it out!

The S1 desktop controller has been working perfectly. Today, however, one of the speakers stopped working. I reconnected the speaker using my iPhone. It is now working - but the speaker is not working on the desktop controller. ]The system says the S1 controller is up to date. What is the problem? How can I fix it?

Hi all.Its August 22nd, am I the only one that is still getting the dreaded 913 error?Since the problem started in May there’s been lots advice on here as to how to fix the problem and I’ve tried everything that’s been suggested without success unfortunately. You name it, I’ve tried it.I’ve got thousands of songs on my computer which I can’t play. There doesn’t seem to be much on the Sonos Community board about this recently so just wondering if Sonos have updated the app (not with me) or others are still suffering to?I was thinking of getting a NAS Drive, but then I could be wasting hundreds of pounds if that doesn’t work either. Also, is a External Hard Drive the same as a NAS Drive? (cheaper) does it do the same job?Or are we just having to play the waiting game from Sonos?I’d be pulling my hair out….if I had some. Many thanksPaul

Until today, my SiriusXM service in Sonos was working perfectly. Now, none of the channels work. I tried to reauthorize my Sirius account. Didn’t help. I removed the account and tried adding my Sirius account again. I’m in Canada so I selected the Sirius XM Canada option. I enter my username and password and it says “Connection error. There was a problem adding the SiriusXM Canada account.” There’s nothing wrong with my credentials and I can log into Sirius. So I tried adding SiriusXM (not the Canadian one). This time it works, but all the Sirius channels are greyed out after the service is added. Anyone know what’s going on?My Sonos is working fine other than that and I can use other music Services like Amazon, Apple Music...

Moderator edit:Google Translate- Hello,I am lucky to have an apartment and a house, both equipped with Sonos. When I go from one to the other, each time I am told that the Sonos system is not found and that I have to go to the system settings. And when I go there, my system is present. It is really annoying ... even if I am well aware that there are worse things in life.

I was unable to add my music library. It had worked fine in the past but it was lost with a macOS update.I called Sonos support and after waiting over an hour I was connected. We went through the screen sharing and the support rep (who was very hard to understand) tried many times to sort it out. He failed and asked me to hold so he could talk to another level of support. No one was available so he created a ticket and I was told to expect an email in the next few days to schedule a lever 2 call.I got the email this morning that provided a link to a scheduling calender. The calendar was empty of time slots. At the top it says “Select Service Appointment Time” and has a drop down with a very long list of time zones. There is a button to move the calendar a week at a time - and a button to select a day on a full calender.Eventually, by moving weeks ahead I see an appointment time appear on the calender for 8:30am two weeks from now. That time will be difficult so I looked another week ahead

Moderator edit:Google Translate-I'm trying to transfer system control to my second account following the instructions in the Android app. I get to the window labeled "Log in to Sonos" and am told to click "Next" to continue. Unfortunately, clicking has no effect. The app on the PC isn't suitable for administration at all.Maybe Sonos will send me an iOS device, apparently it will work with that??

Let’s face it, the new app is still rubbish. It should never have been launched in this state, clearly wasn’t tested and although the CEO finally admitted there are major issues it was all too little too late. Perhaps he (or his board) should be thinking about him taking FULL responsibility for this shambles. I still miss features from the old app (as mentioned many times in this forum) and simple functionality is very poor. I have four Sonos systems in my house and the simple act of switching between them is constantly an issue. It fails to switch. It ends up playing in the wrong room or returns a ‘couldn’t connect - try later’ message. So infuriating. You say you are working “day and night” to fix the issues, but are you really? It doesn’t feel like it. You have many customers who have spent a lot of money on your kit trusting it will work as promised but it clearly doesn’t. I for one am looking at alternatives. I know I’m not alone.

I’ve recently moved house and changed WiFi networks.  I’ve followed all the steps in resetting the 3 speakers I have and connecting them to the app - the app confirms every time I’ve tried that they’re now connected, plays the chimes etc etc. Also when deleting the app and reinstalling to see if it would work it identified all my speakers on the network when signing in. However, I still can’t view ANY of my devices on the app, it still shows as ‘No products found’ even after it’s just confirmed they’ve been added… I’ve tried resetting the WiFi, deleting and re downloading the app, factory resetting all the devices again and still at a loss. Tried support chat but nobody is available and nobody is answering the phone lines.  If anyone could please help that’s maybe had this issue before 🙏🏻

After returning to house having been away for 4 days all my music services are gone! They are grayed out and non functional. Tried to add Apple, Prime and Sirius and in every case it won’t work…says try again!! Any idea what is wrong now with this crappy app??

Apologies as I’m sure this is already widely complained about and discussed. Since the major app update my volume control on my app has been hopeless. Is there anything I can do to improve things as my multiroom system has become almost unusable.

Since software update, I can’t search my library by first letter or name on the app…. When I list albums, compilation albums have the album title listed for each individual songs, so have the album over and over listed, making a very long scroll list. I long for a search button.

I have 8 rooms grouped together. When I want to adjust the sound volume in any particular room I need the volume adjustment to stay up longer than 2 seconds so that my eyes can fine the correct room annd adjust the slider. It’s frustrating chasing after the dialogue as it closes prematurely. Sort of feels like whack-a-mole.

Hi,Out of nowhere my Sonos system is down. The app cant find any of the devices and trying with finding them with Bluetooth doesnt work.Just pressing play on a device works but nothing else. Havent done any changes to the network which the app suggests.Anyone familiar with this issue?

Just moved into a new house, and had WiFi set up. I factory reset my sub, and ARC so, I could add them to my new WiFi. They add, but then don’t show up in the app.

HiEver since updating to the new app search hasn’t been working. Get an error each time where I am prompted to check services. What is wrong?

I can no longer classify my music in my existing playlists?I can integrate them into my favorites but nothing more..For info, I use Android..Thanks for your help

I couldn’t get Sonos to stop playing pandora. After unplugging everything it would resume pandora even though I had paused on the app. I deleted Sonos and pandora apps to get it to stop.  After reloading the Sonos app, it can’t find my products , even though when you first go to settings you see all my products for about 1 second until it says no products found.   I could not get it load, said it was not compatible with sonos2. I reloaded original Sonos 1 app. It only loaded one product, a gen 1 play 5. Then, it told me that my play 1s are not compatible with Sonos 1. This after Sonos 2 told me not compatible.  Long and short, I only have one of eight products that will successfully pair with the system, though all will let me go through the green light/ orange light/ switch to Sonos temp WiFi , then says not compatible. Crazy part, if I go to pandora that I had to reload , it has every speaker available to me EXCEPT the play 5 that Sonos let me load. I can only use them with pandora a

I have era 300 speakers, the Sonos cable for connecting a record player, and a record player with built in speakers (and therefore a pre-amp). When I connect the line out from the record player to the era 300 via the Sonos cable, I get no sound and I can’t find the line-out option in the app. My only source is showing as TV. What am I doing wrong? My era 300s are set up as surrounds rather than a stereo pair if that helps.thanks, Andy

I can play music through my Sonos via Airplay just fine as long as I’m using Apple Music or SoundCloud. But if I want to play something off my iPhone like a video from my photos app or a video from tik tok nothing comes out of the Sonos. I’m using Sonos One and Play:1 speakers.

It is Aug 21, 2024. Since May I lost the PLAY button for a any folder or album. I inquired previously and the chat tech stated this would be fixed in an update. This problem persists after two updates since my inquiry. Is the issue going to be addressed soon? If I want to play music in a folder or album it can only be done using the app on my pc but not on my android phone or tablet. On my phone or tablet I can only play one track at a time. Also, as noted by many others, I have not been successful adding my music library to sonos. I followed sonos directions and tried many suggested approaches without success. These are basic functions for any music player. A big investment in speakers throughout my home and there is no way to play my music.

Brand new user to Sonos. Downloaded the Sonos App to iPhone but was unable to use, as the button to accept terms of use button is greyed out. Have then downloaded Sonos App to iPad and been able to accept terms of use there and get started using new Sonos Roam. This is not ideal as wish to be able to use Sonos Roam when out of range of Wi-Fi in garden. Can anyone suggest fix to get the Sonos App working on iPhone so I can actually roam using my speaker. I have already checked/tried:Checking I am on latest version of IOS  Updating App by deleting and reinstalling  Deleting App rebooting iphone and reinstalling App
