Hi, I have seen similar topics on here regarding this issue but think this one is unique. I received my Play:1 & 3 yesterday and set them up fine. At this point my iPhone 6 was able to adjust the volume using the physical buttons. Later that day I set my girlfriend's iPhone 6 up and realised that my buttons no longer worked. I have reset the app, re-downloaded it, even factory reset both speakers and set it up again. As it stands her phone can control the volume but mine cannot. Is there anyway to resolve this so that both phones can use the physical buttons to control the volume? Thanks in advance for any help.
Hey, I'm new to Sonos in general here--I work in a kitchen and we recently just got a system there. Beforehand, we typically would play various artist radio stations from Spotify through an AUX connection, and would add songs/albums to the queue when we wanted them to play next. Now we're still using Spotify, but through the Sonos App. However, now when we're playing a Spotify station and want to add songs/abums to play next (and have it automatically revert back to that station when those songs/albums added finish I should add), it will just continue playing from the station and ignore we have manually added. We've tried 'Play Next' and 'Add to Queue' and neither work the same way they seemed to when it was just the Spotify app without being filtered though the Sonos app. Hopefully this question computes, and it's a simple thing that we're missing. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance!
Some time ago I updated my iPhone app to the latest version and all works well (except for the white!). It asked me to update my speakers, which I did. Now today I come to update the app on my iPad and its again asking me to update the speakers. Why is this necessary. Weren't they updated the first time? Thanks for any feedback
Hi, I have been runnning a Plex service into my Sonos, all was working great until I rebuilt my Plex server and used a different server name. The old server has been deleted from my Plex account so it just shows one server but my Sonos keeps trying to connect to the old name. I have removed the service and reauthorised but it's still trying to connect to a server that is no longer there. Any ideas how to fix?
I didn't do anything at all and my iPad app is nonfunctional. Tried deleting and reloading, but no use. Sonos still working with iPhone and Mac at least. What just happened, anyway?
When adding Google Play to my sonos, I choose "I already have an account" and click next. An error appears that said I have an invalid link code. It never asks me for id / password. Any thoughts?
After the latest update, the "Pause All" function doesn't show on the (Android smartphone) controller screen when speakers are grouped.....although "Turning off Sonos" in the Support still refers to using it...!?! What's the correct way to stop all speakers that are grouped together (like when you're leaving your house)?
All options under MANAGE are greyed out since 8.0 update - also the 'my sonos account' and 'forget current sonos system' under HELP, which are not urgent problems at the moment, but how do I update my music library? I'm using a (regularly updated) macbook pro OS X 10.9.5
While using my app on my iphone, I'm having trouble with the screen not reflecting the song/artist I'm listening to. Diagnostic report 7791291
Finding and installing the Sonos APK 7.4 for Android is done and got is this the shortest way out from hell to heaven 🆒 but is there a way to roll back the firmware ?
I used to be able to go back to TV sound after listening to music. Now I can not find that feature. I need to power my Tv on and off to get it to play again. Am I doing something wrong?
Any chance to have a volume knob displayed when touching the volume controls? The progress bar is not suitable for a music/sound application. We need more granular volume controls! Thank you Camillo
How do I reset the entire system and re-register each component? I am having issues with my WiFi and just installed a new router and I would like to start fresh again.
Server cannot be found. I am not technically literate. If you're going to tell me to add/subtract do anything with cables, you're going to have to talk to me like I am an imbecile. I cannot understand what Sonos is telling other people to do with the same problem.. Way over my head. Haven't been able to play music for several months on my system. pulling hair out. What does it mean that server cannot be found? How do I play music again? It worked sooo well for so long, and then took a left turn on me. Stop updating things, please, and crashing my system, sonos... Leave good enough alone.
Is there anyway to revert to previous app version for ios? Sonos support please help with this.
Ive added a room and synced a speaker by mistake to it, how do i remove the rouge room ?
My Sony TV does not have a Sonos App and it can be a problem using our phone app (our 1 phone is not always "home"). Is there any way to work around this, perhaps by downloading the app to a USB stick and connecting the USB stick to the TV? Probably a stupid idea!
Since the last update rolled out a few days ago the Sonos app on my phone is taking forever and a day to launch. I timed it this afternoon, the black "Sonos" screen was there for four and a half minutes before the app finally came up. This has been the case every time I've tried to open the app to turn my system on or off or change the station. Needless to say, it is tiresome. Once the app appeared all was good. Is this problem unique to me? What might it be thinking about while it's sitting there? Any suggestions beyond the obvious of power cycling everything? (didn't help) The app on my Mac comes up as fast as usual. All systems are running the most recent versions of software, as of this morning.
Hi, I'm relatively new to Sonos and have my computer running the Sonos app, streaming out to speakers via WIFI. My issue is that I want to add my MP3 collection to Sonos, all guides tell me to use the Manage menu but almost all options there are greyed out. The settings screen only shows date & time options. By searching these forums the standard reply seem to be a version mismatch between the Sonos app and hardware. How can I fix this? The version of my Sonos app is 8.0 -- what can I do to make sure that the versions are correct and I can access all settings? It's not like I can update my speakers or what is going on? This is fairly urgent so any feedback is greatly appreciated. Best wishes Wim
A poll to see who prefers the older or the newer software version. Opinion seems very strong. EDIT: I can't edit but would like POLL: In front of the thread title.
why would Sonos us my 4g data?
I want to remove all speakers from an existing room and re-setup my system.
According to the article I read.... "The Alexa feature will be a free software upgrade for existing Sonos hardware. A private beta later this year will be expanded to public release early in 2017." My question... HOW DO I GET ON THE BETA? I have four Play 1 and a Play 3 setup thru my house (living room and two betdrooms). I'd love to be able to control the music for my Sonos system thru my Alexa (and DOT) system. Anyone know how to get on these betas? TIA
Hi there, I'm not really one to complain because my sonos equipment is the best I've ever brought. But I must say. I've just done the new update and I think it's a load of rubbish! I don't want my playlist clearing when I want to play another, I'd like to clear it myself thank you please! What do others think? Please take this on board, thank you .
I'm in the beta program, inside the Sonos app on Android tablet. Check for updates, update available, click on Update Now. This opens the Google Play Store, NOT the Sonos beta site, to the already-installed current Sonos app. WTF? Why is this not opening to the Sonos beta site, like it used to do? I want tk test Alexa integration, how is it possible to get the public beta?
