Hi,trying to leave Private Beta to try Public beta of the new controller, but no way to do so? Help Cheers Daivd

I've followed the directions to leave the beta program, however, all of my Sonos apps are still branded "beta", and I'm constantly being asked to "update" (but updates are rarely available). I'd like to fix this. Diagnostics report #3884834

When you browse your collection and select an artist see albums sorted alphabetically. To me this would be far more logical for these to be sorted by release year (and then alphabetically). Failing making this the default perhaps adding an option of how to sort albums (orhttps://ask.sonos.com/sonos/topics/dynamic_library_views_user_defined_sorting)

I would love to be ableto see the total lenth/time of all songs in a Queue or Playlists.

I use a Sonos at work and would like the alarm to turn the unit on for 8hrs, but the duration is only 2hrs max. So I have to set an alarm to turn it on and another to turn it off. It never works right. It would be easier if you could just increase the alarm duration to include up to 12 or more hrs.

Hi there, Since upgrading to 3.1 my cr200 has become unresponsive in certain parts of the scree. For example if i try and adjust the treble in the music equalisation screen I cant move the slider. If I try and slide up and down using the A-Z slider at the RHS of my music index it stutters at E and jumps to M. I have contacted Sonos who suggested that I reset the controller but to know avail. Any ideas? Frazer

Apple have just released into BETA Home Kit. This is a selection of dev tools to help integrate smart home products together. Hopefully plans are coming together to integrate this into the iOS app. It would be interesting to see what users think to this.

We currently use a handful of Sonos players throughout our office. It would be great if Sonos integrated with Slack so the song playing on a specific player (or group) could get pushed into a Slack channel.

I have 30 alarms and cannot add another, i get "unable to add alarm, please try again later" via windows and IPAD app - is this a limit?

I would argue that the most fundamental user action when using music software is to click on a song. In 6.4 there are at least 3 possible outcomes: 1. Overwrite the queue with that song and all others on the same album (queue not edited); 2. Ask for confirmation of item 1 (queue has been edited); 3. Place the song in the queue and start playing (when you click on a song as the result of a search). In cases 1 and 2, additional songs overwrite the queue. In case 3, just a single song is inserted. The Sonos UI is therefore inconsistent and counter-intuitive. The argument that this behavior makes the app more like Spotify, iTunes etc misses the point that the Sonos music system is designed to be used by groups of people as well as individuals. It needs to act as a jukebox as well as an ipod. Here's one possible solution: swap the actions of pressing a song and pressing the dots. This returns pressing a song to the old and familiar action. Now that I've got a new router (Netgear N300 WNR2200 Wireless Router), the Android & PC controller will not connect when using WiFi, but it does work from the PC when using a wired connection. (I have tried resetting the controller, turning uPnP off, power cycling everything etc.)

Trying to change the name and it doesnt work

Recently none of my iTunes playlists are imported into Sonos. All music tracks have been imported but not the playlists. All music and iTunes data are in My Music folder. Can someone help?

I used to use itunes linked to my vaio media centre to play my music while showing visualistions to my loewe LCD big screen- It was really effective for parties. Now I have a far superior audio system in sonos and the gold standard performance and versatility has blown my friends away. However I would dearly love to use visualisations again. It would only require a software upgrade to the desk top controller to allow this and you would greatly increase the modality of sonos in a multi media sense- and make me happy- plus it should only cost cents in reality. Mull it over.

This is not a full windows 8 platform but will work new surface tablet and Samsung and others plan to use this OS which is not fully windows 8 compatible. It would be very helpful if sonos would support this as the tablet looks promising.

Ability to support association with devices running an iOS VPN.

I really like my Echo but it is limited - needs more apps.... I really, really hope (really, really, really) a Sonos app becomes available for the Echo - I would add another one no problem. I love my Sonos - and normally I dislike voice control but Echo is far superior to others. So let's keep our fingers crossed.

Got really excited when I saw support for multiple..... thinking it would be music libraries. But no, the system still can't handle multiple users / music libraries, and STILL doesn't search Contributing Artists (unlike Andronos on Android and SonoPad / Sonophone on iPad and iPhone. C'mob Sonos, get it sorted. Really and truthfully, how hard can it be?

In order that Sonos can gauge some meaningful feedback please reply to this thread with your supporting opinions for your choice. I voted NO as I believe the perception that has been given and supported is that we, the users, will get our idea's turned into tweaks/new features/upgrades etc. through the Sound Idea's forum. Given that the fact that the last two updates have had very few changes to the system (i.e. Not new services) I fear that the focus on this may have drifted. I understand the current world economic situation means that luxury products suchs as Sonos will be put aside for essential purchase and that Sonos will and must look to increase it's user base to survive doesnt mean that we, as existing users cannot express our dissapointment at this shift. does anybody know a program that extracts the cover image(s) out of mp3s? I tagged my whole mp3 collection with all the covers within iTunes. Most of them where drag/dropped directly from the webbrowser (images.google.com); so no separate images have been saved. now I would like to have the covers also as separate jpg, gif or whatever is emedded in the mp3 files.
