I switched to a new phone, iPhone 15. The system cannot be found on Sonos app. I removed and downloaded the Sonos app, ios is up to date, and network is the same. Sonos system still works normally on my old phone and my spouse’s phone. Any tips for fixing this?

Yes. The exact same problem with iPhone 15 pro max.  Works on iPhone 14 that my wife owns - very very irritating 😡

Sonos team plz help.

Try this…

Go to Settings > Search > Sonos > Location > Select “While Using the App” > Precise Location > Turn On

@AjTrek1 thanks for the tip! Already had the mentioned settings on and no difference…

Well there’s definitely something going on but whether it’s the app, iOS or both is hard to say. I’ve owned an iPhone 15 Pro Max since release date and never had the issue you describe on an ongoing basis. I had issue with the app but always turned out to be an update issue either for the app or IOS….problem solved.

Since you say everything is up to date here are suggested next steps…

For Sonos I suggest you run a diagnostics within 10 minutes of the next occurrence and then call Sonos tech support. Be sure to make note of the diagnostics ID.

Of course For Apple…just call them.

One more point… check your router for updates and reboot even if no update is required.

When you removed and downloaded the app again, what option did you choose when opening the app?

Should be “Join Existing System” rather than “Set up new system”.

It’s definitely happening to iPhone 15 users. (All models)

I have an iPad Pro. Works fine. My wife owns an iPhone 14 no issues there as well.

Sonos needs to patch fix for iPhone 15 models.

it’s truly frustrating that Sonos app is sooo slow and bad (even when it works on other devices)

amazing hardware, terrible software - just a fact

@tatakz

Did you run the diagnostic as I suggested and then  call Sonos tech support?

Yes. Did all of that and They couldn’t help me. Sonos team get your s*** together plz. Your hardware is great but not cheap.

Hi all, an update: for me the problem got fixed (for now). I haven’t had time to call Sonos or try anything else either, but I was happy to see that an existing system was found and I was able to join it! Yes!

Have other iphone 15 users experienced the same in the past days?

@Viivigri

mine works only if I turn off the router and restart it. then it works for about a couple of hours. And randomly it lost connection and can’t find the system any longer…. how annoying.

Ipad pro works just fine -

SONOS, plz help with a freaking patch

That’s a network issue. Most likely duplicate IP Addresses.

@AjTrek1

can you plz explain more and if it’s the case what do you suggest to prevent a duplicate ip address ?
