Speaker Removal

Why is there no method to directly remove a speaker?  I have to wait for a timeout for my blown Sub 3 to be removed?

These nanny-only methods are infuriating.  Some of your customers want to just get things done.  SONOS you can do better.

Good afternoon cd07 - based on digging through the community, I came across this original post from 3 years - no so sure if it applies, but I think it might.  Ken is a long-time member of the community and has amazing knowledge of things like this.  I had the same issue with a blown Sonos Sub mini this past summer and the same thing happened.  I did not reboot my entire Sonos Eco system and network, I just waited and it eventually disappeared and I think it was within the 3 day period.

Reset, soon to be returned speaker, still showing 'offline' in app | Sonos Community

Thanks

Derek

While there are a lot of things I find “infuriating” in this world; doing nothing but wait a few days in order to get something done is not one of them.  YMMV.

It would be nice to know how long the timeout is.  My Sub 3 blew almost 2 weeks ago and it still shows up on the app with a kind of warning notification.  It blew up dudes, please remove it.  Not sure how a system that provides itself it’s own digital audio signal can blow a component.  For the money paid and engineering that is claimed to have gone into these, it’s a real mystery.

18mths and still no option to hide a product as there was in the previous app.

From your profile, I assume the Sub was bonded with your Arc. The Arc still believes it is bonded with the Sub. I’d be tempted to factory reset the Arc to get rid off the Sub notification.
