Question

sonos no more trueplay in app and eq not working

What is going on Sonos. After trueplay was so buggy that you couldn’t get past the „continue“ button in the setup it completely disappeared this morning in the app.

also: why is the eq still not working? I’m living in small flat and my Sonos fives bass is annoying af.

any fixes? Yes, I’ve restarted the app/phone/speaker.

Are you definitely on the latest app version? There was an update on Tuesday.

And did you also run the latest System Update to update the firmware on your speakers?

Maybe try uninstalling the app. Turn off your speakers at the wall. Turn off the router for 30 secs. Turn the router back on and let it get back online, then turn each speaker on in turn until each white light is on, then reinstall the app and login.

See if that helps? (I know you’ve restarted but I wonder if the app uninstall as part of it might help)

EQ is working now (a update popped up) but there is still no menu for the trueplay. It completely disappeared.

When you say “menu for Trueplay”…?

It is found under Settings  /  [Room/speaker name]  /  Sound  /  Trueplay.

Is it not there for you on each speaker?

Nope, not anymore.

That is strange. I would try completely uninstalling the app and installing it again. It’s a last resort but maybe worth a try?

Nothing changed. I had to completely reset everything (app / phone and my Sonos system) but now it’s running. Still thanks for reaching out…

Yes, Trueplay is missing from the Android app, equalization section. Used to be there, prior to the disastrous May updates. I used my iPad to calibrate the system.

Music library and Trueplay are the main reasons why I bought the Sonos. Now they are both broken. Can I get a refund?

No, because Sonos is working on fixing it. If it were permanent, then maybe.

(Trueplay isn’t broken - you said yourself that you used your iPad for this. And Music Library access is still available, I believe, according to the many threads on here that explain how to access it.)

Trueplay is broken. The equalization is not available from the Android app. I am not talking about the calibration part, which has always been missing from Android. Prior to the updates, it was possible to select the Trueplay equalization in the Android app.

The Music Library cannot be rescanned in the updated app. I am not talking about access. I am talking sbout playing new songs after they have been added to the music library folders. Clearly broken.

The TruePlay button and text is completely missing on my iPad Mini 6 after the latest update. The prior updates had trueplay visible, but it would not even start when I tried to click continue

I see others having the same issue.  I ran Trueplay with a friend’s iPhone.  On my Android it used to show Trueplay in the EQ area.  Now it doesn’t have the option to confirm it.  Also, it used to not let me change some things like the surround distance after trueplay (if I’m not remembering wrong).  Now I’m wondering, if I change those settings, does it break the trueplay? Or can they be both adjusted?  It says my distance is 3 meters I’m actually a meter only.  Does it mean the trueplay didn’t work or I’m supposed to change both?

Any suggestions?

I have the iOS app and Trueplay is missing for me. I have today's version installed (80.04.04). I tried to reinstall the app and it still doesn't work. My Sonos Arc is up to date. The overall app looks buggy and disjointed, what a downgrade from the great app it used to be.

I am having the same issue. Funny thing is that when I installed my era 100 alone the true play worked but when I installed my arc and subs it get stuck at the continue screen

Has anyone found a solid resolution for this issue?

I doubt it, just the usual reboot, re-install, uninstall reboot, BS.

I got mine today and I'm so disappointed not to be able to use the EQ.
