I also faced the (in)famous “allow access to local network” error mentioned in several reddit/sonos community questions

The new app is trying to reach msmetrics.ws.sonos.com, a subdomain blacklisted by various ad blockers. White-listing this subdomain solved it for me. 

The app should fail gracefully on telemetry issues, I hope Sonos fix it in a future release.
