Advertising in the app

Is there a way to disable in-app advertising?  Every time I open the app, there is an add right in the middle of the screen.  This space should be utilized for my most commonly used features.  Can you please make the advertisements opt-in?  Or at least move them away from the most precious real estate in the application?  I promise you, they are having the opposite effect of making me want to buy more of your products.

Click your account top right of App, and disable push notifications in Message preferences, ie opt out to receive offers etc.

Ad blocker like pi hole will block them.

Or, go to www.sonos.com, log in to your account, and alter the preferences there. They sometimes miss checking that, but it certainly clears a majority of them.

I checked on my account at www.sonos.com.  I can’t find anything related to ads anywhere in the settings.  Maybe they removed that option?

Odd. I haven’t visited it in quite a while, it does look changed, and as you say, I no longer see the option.  Seems odd. I’d probably call Sonos Support directly to discuss it. They probably have a different front end than you and I do, and may be able to see that function.

There’s no option to remove adds on the website or in the app, not sure why you are being advised to call in. You have to block the adds, best to use a network add blocker. Calling in is a waste of time.

You’ve got to be kidding - those live ads are the main reason why the app was “updated” last May! Take those away and the whole exercise would have been a total waste of time. Oh, wait...

All that effort with the app only to be able to do in-app marketing once or twice a quarter? 😀

That’s a good way to keep customers. Brass them off.
