Hi @Parsnip62

The latest app for Android is on a rolling-release and will reach 100% availability tomorrow, if all goes well.

I hope this helps.

Well, I suppose that is something but that means I must be in the last 14% as after 6 days I don’t have it. Oddly neither do either of my wife’s Android devices. Mathematically unlikely but there you go.

Depends on how they do the rolling release - if it’s by region (IP address range) …..

My biggest concern is the custom services. I am not even seeing this as on Sonos’ radar? I have all my music stored in the cloud which I used to be able to browse from iOS and Android. Now it only works on Mac. If I already added items using Mac, I can play, stop, skip etc but not add new items. It is very annoying having useless phone apps but not as bad as if the desktop also didn’t work. I wish I had never upgraded.

I wish there was an option to not upgrade. It wasn’t even a choice for me. Now my system is useless. After a lot of trial and error I was able to get my iMac playlist into the library, but it does not recognize any playlists. It’s just one big dump of all tracks.

The option to upgrade would have been nice, but how would you or I know the system would be rendered pretty much useless until we did upgrade. What we really need is a way to go back (actually forward) to previous versions of the app.!

Sonos the company that keeps on F**KING YOU OVER !!!!!!!!!

another day another F**K UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Windows app forced me to upgrade the system, no way to get the windows PC app to work otherwise, however now it has updated the ‘old’ iOS app (which I had managed to keep/re-install) now no longer works and is insisting on an update. Which will lead to F**K ALL functionality (that I use) as well as major lags to the system as it insists on going outside my local network to run my ‘local’ music !!!!!!!!

What have you developers done? Seems like you’ve effectively ruined what as once the best sound system on the planet. Please fix it!

By all accounts, the developers knew about the flaws, and warned the executives that the app would be a disaster (there are quotes of developers “yelling and screaming” in meetings).  They were overridden.

Same as always !!! management insist that users will get used to the new way of doing things as they want to move to a different model that makes them more money. Well their attitude of F**K the user is now biting them in the a**e as no one will buy any sonos products any more, including the retailers as users are so p***ed off

I am still having tons of trouble with the new app. At least I can now finally connect my system and some very basic functionality is back.  One thing that is driving me crazy is the queue. If I leave the queue to change the volume and go back to the queue it loads back at the TOP of the queue; not to the current song. So I have to scroll down thru hundreds of songs to get back to the current song playing to see what is next. Is there anyway to quickly get to the current song or is this just another badly designed feature on the new app?
