What the actual *?

Why would Sonos, a large company with high levels of investment available replace a working app with a junk piece of crap that is buggy, crashes, lags, pauses and lacks basic functionality????

Way to go. Just treat your customers like complete mugs.

A very large proportion of the complaints about the new app is due to people losing access to their local libraries due to deprecation of SMBv1 support.  I do believe you were very critical of Sonos not supporting SMBv2 or SMBv3 around 5 years ago and suggested that you would be ditching Sonos at that time for this very reason.

A case of careful what you wish for, perhaps.

Actually the issues are a complete lack of getting their app ready and maintaining basic user functionality.

Sonos have had plenty of time to deal with the transition from SMBv1 to SMBv2. He'll they could have developed their own whole new protocol in 5 years.

Just totally unacceptable.
