I am getting errors every time I use the new app to search for anything and nothing opens. My music provider is Napster Rhapsody who Sonos originally promoted when I first got the system the new app is virtually unusable now - help!
Since the last app update I can’t start a LiveOne radio from an android controller, I just receive the message ‘Something went wrong’However, I can:play an album from LiveOne from the Android controller start a LiveOne radio from the Windows and IOS controllerI tried to reboot everything, remove the service from the account, remove the app from the device, reboot the device … no success. Also, it looks like the ‘SLEEP TIMER’ was removed in the latest version - or let’s say that I can’t find it anymore.Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated :)
So the new app sucks in many ways. Here's one. Now that the Alarms function has returned to the app, I find that the time picker to set the alarm time is horrible to work with. Tiny font, hair trigger scroll wheels. Olympic eye-hand coordination needed. Is it just me?
I recently updated the app on iPhone for Sonos and I’m sorry to say it’s an utter car crash. The original app was excellent worked perfectly so I could link to my NAS and play music, use streaming. It was great. This new one is terrible. My NAS is inaccessible streaming start and stop is slow and uncontrollable. Could you please give us the option to role back to the original app, recall the frankly embarrassing app you have recently released, or release an update that fixes these problems. Looking at your forums, I’m not the only one who is less than impressed. Looking forward to your rectification. Kind regards Dom
Wie kann ich Songs aus der Sonos Favoriten Liste zur vorhandenen Playlist hinzufügen? Moderator Edit: Google Translate- How can I add songs from the Sonos favorites list to the existing playlist?
Plenty of bad comments concerning the New S2 App out there. In order to provide a balanced opinion. Are there any users that? :-Have it working in all respects. Prefer the new to the previous S2 Version. Do not regret upgrading to the current version.
The new App is giving me nightmares. The app doesn’t keep up with tracks being played and is sooo slow sometimes I can’t pause or skip then it will catch up and suddenly react. Oddly when I bypass the app and use Spotify and connect to my speakers in this app they react well so I’m guessing it’s the Sonos app and not my WiFi. I have a boost hard wired to router which no longer shows up in my system. Also have they removed cross fade or is this just on my system this is no longer available????Thoughts please???
Ok everyone who’s going first?🤣 Let us know how if it’s safe to update. ETA I updated. The app didn’t make me sign in or search for my speakers on first start so that’s a win. 80.01.08 (Android)80.01.30 (iOS)Release date: 5/29/2024 In this update: Fixed issues encountered when adding a product that is running older software. This is more of an FYI because I see many asking if they can go back to 16.1 on iOS. Apparently you can, but YMMV.From RedditYou may need a PC/Laptop Install AltStore on PC (follow their instruction) Download the previous .ipa file (Google it) Install it See this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/1cpd8eu/how_to_install_the_previous_app_on_ios/Install Alt Store on Windows: https://faq.altstore.io/getting-started/how-to-install-altstore-windowsIf you can’t find the 16.1 IPA you can follow these instructions to get it. Keep a copy of it and you will always be able to go back to it.https://github.com/qnblackcat/How-to-Downgrade-apps-on-AppStore-with-iTunes-and-Charles-Proxy

In iOS v80.01.30, I appear unable to play TuneIn radio on just one of three zones. App defaults to one room (consisting of a single Play 1), and while I can add another room (either room with another Play 1 or my surround setup), I cannot deselect the original “default” room without disabling sound elsewhere.
What the heck happened? Who authorized this for release. It is the absolute worst app I’ve ever used. It has rendered my turntable and 4 speakers completely useless. Please roll it back (though the old one wasn’t so great either). You can do better. This is a joke.
Merci Moderator Note - Translation by Google:Hello everyone,No longer possible to have access to RadioNova or FIP radio(s), Impossible to find them in sonos radio or on Tune In..!!!Is this due to the update? Will they be available again? Thanks
Do not upgrade to the new app do not buy any Sonos equipment until the app is working again!!! SONOS - do the decent thing and stand up and apologise properly. No more of your silly Californian tech soundbites please.
Hi, Sonosstill in trouble to find the way to listen my favourites podcasts via my Home Sonos setup.I have podcasts collection on my Spotify acc, but for some reason, can’t find Podcast section in Sonos app. To address this issue, I’ve created message in Spotify Community portal, but no progress.Still dont know what is the problem.. Details os here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/All-Platforms-Connect-re-categorise-podcasts-as-AUDIO-so-they/idc-p/5893811/highlight/true#M282455 As well, my podcasts were hosted by Google Podcasts mobile app. Due to Google decision to close mobile app and migrate podcasts to YTM - all shows I’ve migrate to YTM. Using mechanism provided by Google.Hoped it resolve my problem and I’ll be able to listem podcasts via Sonos. Finally. No way ((Sonos app, select YTM, select Library, select Podcast - it display ONLY 30 shows, even not episodes, as mentioned in some topic here. But 30 shows. WHY? I’ve subscribed to far more than 30 shows! What the issue
Hi, I have a large primary system with a mix of old and new speakers which means I can’t use the new Sonos App and have to use the S1 app which is fine, all works fine. All are connected to the same house WiFi. I have a Sonos Roam in my outside office (also connected to the same house WiFi) and want to be able to use an app to control it. It won’t pair with the new app for some reason and can’t be paired to the old S1. Every time I use it I have to go to settings on the phone and connect it to Bluetooth and use it that way which is a bit of a pain. Any ideas please? I use BTWholeHome which does have Guest network in it for visitors if that is of any use. TIA
I have been a long-time Sonos user, and this is by far one of the biggest blunders I have seen them make. The first being the whole S1 / S2 / old / new hardware guilt-trip and claiming that we all need to drop our old hardware and buy new. But I’m guessing enough peer pressure from those like me who sunk too much $$$ into our speakers have kept this older hardware continuing to run just fine, against all odds. Who could have guessed. But this app update… it has basically rendered all my music located on my network storage, unusable. Before you go “oh this was the whole SMBv1 issue blah blah…there’s a fix… blah blah”… yeah, no. I’m an experienced network engineer. My “NAS” has been running on a Windows 2019 server using SMBv2/v3 shares for years without problems. I’ve had SMBv1 disabled for years now. The problem happened as soon as the app was released not long ago, and I mistakenly trusted Sonos, and updated it on my phone. What can I do right now?I can play all my music just fine by i
I have two separate Sonos networks, one at my house one on my boat. Every time I leave either one of these systems, I have issues connecting with them when I return. My house has a boost that I usually end up having to unplug and then plug back in for my system to work which I think is absolutely insane. My boat is the bigger issue, I don't have a boost on this network, I'm connecting two play 5's to a T-Mobile home internet wireless router. I'm currently not able to connect to my network unless I unplug both speakers and plug them back in. Sometimes I even have to hold the button down to reset each one. Why is this a constant issue? I've tried other routers before and had the same issue. Should I just drop the speakers in the water and try another brand? So I've tried six times now to reset both speakers on this network and have been unable to do anything with them. Is this where I start my class action lawsuit? Moderator edit: Combined posts
How do I get Trueplay to retune on my Beam gen 2 with Sub gen 3 using iPad latest iOS? I've tried restarting, resetting and reinstalling. I want a refund. This new app seems to be absolute garbage. It's so unintuitive and buggy and support is offline.
I cannot play my iTunes music library on my Sonos - it has disappeared.
Obviously you Sonos people don’t know how to “Beta” an app before you roll it out. At least 10 hours on the phone only to reset the Unit to work and only to fail the next time. When is the fix gonna be ready, before summer is over??? so unsatisfied
The Sonos S2 controller on my Mac lost access to my music library about a month ago. From that point forward, I’ve been unable to play music fom the music library on Sonoma 14.5 without disabling my firewall. My music is stored in the standard “Music” folder and it plays fine if the firewall is turned off. The Sonos app is listed as “Allow incoming connections” in the firewall settings. I’ve followed the straightforward advice in this Sonos page that I found, but no dice.https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/configuring-macos-firewallI’ve downloaded the latest Sonos controller. That doesn’t eliminate the problem. I’ve been using Sonos for over 10 years without encountering this problem.I had an online chat with Sonos support several weeks ago. They looked at a diagnostic they had me upload, and then instructed me to call Sonos support. I did so, and they gave me the “turn your firewall off” solution after an hour on the phone. Can anyone advise how to overcome this problem? ….
With the new Sonos app it is almost impossible to get the system to stop playing a station in one room and start in another. I cannot get it to stop in the first room, it just keeps playing or linking the two rooms WHICH I DO NOT WANT.I keep getting the frustrating message “Something has gone wrong”, no more details, over and over again.COME ON SONOS DEVELOPERS, SURELY YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!
I’ve been a long time user both at home & office. The new upgrade fails miserably!!!! The previous version equalizer was easy to use & change in milliseconds. The new version is way too challenging. Secondly some of my playlists won’t work & I receive a trouble message with no suggested solution. One giant step backward for what was once a fairly simple app. Do better!!
Sonos have absolutely ruined the experience. The software updates are absolutely trash, I spend ages waiting for the app to load and have connectivity issues as the Sonos speaker can't be found even when logged into the app. Why have they ruined the software and ruined my experience. Thanks sonos for destroying your software and making it so hard for users to even play there music through your speakers now. Great job 👍
