Hi,Can someone help me diagnose an issue with my old Connect? It has started dropping audio streaming (stopping->startring->stopping….loop).It’s connected via Wifi as the only device left in my S1 setup. Rest i have is running S2.Diagnostics number is 293225017,Thanks!
My current setup:TV Area:Beam (gen1) connected to AppleTV and wireless HD projector Sonos sub2x play:1s setup in surround sound Living area:2x HomePods in stereo pair 2x bookshelf AudioEngine A2s connected to an old Airport Express i generally use Airplay2 to stream across both areas. I’m thinking of getting a vinyl player, so of course I’d like one that works with my set up. First question, if I buy a turntable and plug it to a Sonos Port, does that enable it to stream across the whole airplay2 network or only the Sonos speakers? Second question, same for the Victrola Sonos-certified turntables, would they only work via Sonos speakers or once I hit play to the line in on the Sonos app I can expand it via airplay2 to the rest? Third, following up on question 1; any reason to buy a Port instead of an Era 100/300/Five? They all seem to have a line in and similar functionality and the Port isn’t cheap… Any repercussions re: stereo or whatever if it’s one bookshelf speaker?
For music listening, Is it possible to have an era 300 and 2x ones (which I already have) for surround or should I get a Beam to go with my 2x ones for surround?
Can anyone advise on the best location for the boost to be sited. Does it benefit from being a certain distance from the router and other electrical components?
Hi,Quick question about ceiling speakers please. I can see the dimensions online for width and depth but can’t see anything relating to the maximum thickness of plasterboard / wood that they can fit on. Looking at the pictures it secures with clamps so just wondering how wide these go if anyone knows? Would it fit on a double layer of plasterboard for example? Also with one pair I assume I just run one cable back to each side of the amp, rather then daisy chain?ThanksSteve
Hi, are there any online templates I can print off for the ceiling speaker cutout? If not is any one able to confirm the size in 210mm? Cheers
I recently moved house so my ISP, room layout, etc. are completely different than my old situation which worked perfectly. In my old house I never had trouble with my Sonos Connect (playing music from my NAS drive through my stereo). But in my new house the Connect is cutting out. My Sonos One’s and ZonePlayer S5 are playing fine and I have a 1GB broadband connection, so the problem is clearly with the Connect. My Sonos system consists of a Sonos Boost, 2 Sonos 1’s, the Sonos Connect, and a ZonePlayer S5. The Connect is accessing the system via the Boost (WM=0 for all Sonos components).I can think of several possibilities:(1) The satellite in my Orbi Mesh network is not carrying the signal properly. I would ideally like to use a wired connection to the closest satellite, but the satellite itself has problems when I move it close to my stereo. So it’s currently sitting on the other side of my living room.(2) The Connect is ignoring the Orbi satellite and is trying to connect directly to
I have an Arc connected to my TV along with an associated Sub3. I also have 2 Amps that power 3 pars of of ceiling speakers (not setup as surround). Everyone now an then both Amps will drop out for a few seconds which is very annoying. I tried hardwiring (ethernet) one of the Amps to my router and it did not help. Will it resolve my issue if I daisy chain the Arc and the two Amps together? Or do I need to connect the Arc to the router? In either case, I need to run the the ethernet cable behind the wall which I’m not ready to do unless I know for sure that it will permanently resolve the issue.I also want to mention that I have a PLay5 and pair of Play 1s so I cannot disable WiFi on the sytem
One of my wired speaker connections will not work with the turntable. I have tried switching and it is the connection at the AMP as the other speaker works when I switch. Additionally, both speakers work using a digital music service (e.g. Spotify). I have done a restart and a full reboot/reconnect and the problem persists.
I have 7 in ceiling speakers in my theater room connected to my receiver. When i want to play my streaming music with my SONOS App, i need to turn the receiver on and switch it to the correct output in order to use the App on my phone. What option do i have regarding playing my speakers with my mobile app without having to manually turning on receiver?
How do I add multiple amps

Can the arc soundbar be integrated in a TV cinewall without loosing sound quality of Dolby atmos? If so, how much space should there be on each side (left, top, right) from the soundbar to cinewall frame so that the sound quality isn’t compromised? Many thanks 👍
Hi there, I’d be grateful on some advice on putting a dormant Connect unit to new use.I would like to connect a CD /radio to the Connect using line out/RCA cable so that the unit can play through my One speakers. Ideally, I’d want to set up the Connect to work with the speakers in the Kitchen, for example, so that whenever I use the CD/ Radio it automatically feeds through the Connect and to the speakers, without having to set up everything each time via the Sonos app; can anyone advise if this is possible? We already have the speakers in the kitchen, my wife wants to be able to play her CDs from a standalone unit and it would make sense to utilise the Sonos speakers. Although I have a NAS drive with all the music loaded, she doesn’t want the hassle of using the Sonos app to find the particular cd files each time - there are a lot of CD files to hunt through!
The other posts have been closed, even though this issue seems to be widespread. After installing a new router, my Sonos connects but my phones will connect to the app.We have changed the channels to 1, 6 , or 11 and set the wifi to 2.4.I have contacted support and was given this ticket number *********.We can change channels on the router, and the phone will connect for about 20 minutes, then we have to change to another channel to get the phone to connect for another 20 minutes. We have three android phones and two Iphones and all have the same outcome. I have tried resetting the app and resetting the router a dozen or more times. I have tried switching to Sonos one and have tried drinking wine, but nothing works after five days now.Has anyone resolved this issue? Is there something special I need to set on the router.? Hi Again I hope everyone is enjoying their day…I have 2 questions 1 My tv has only got the following ports, a few hdmi ports one optical and one lan network cable (no vga) so am wondering how to connect to my Port 2 what is the digital out cable as I thought it was an optical connection but it is not Actually I’m very confused now as I have disconnected my boost and port and the system is still working fine??? Was I sold the initial connect and bridge which are not needed as it runs absolutely fine with my routerModerator edit: combined posts
I have been using a Nuvo system for about 8 years now that allows my 7 zones to all play separate audio. I have 2 3 zone systems and 1 single zone all integrated together. It’s rare (never?) that all 7 are playing and playing different things at the same time. I would like to change over to Sonos for various reasons and I need to know what to get to run those. All are hardwired and I run the zones from the app. I only need 2, a pair of speakers on my patio and a pair by the pool, that I would like to be able to run TV audio through. The rest can just be from Spotify, Pandora, Iheart, whatever. If I understand the Sonos products, to run 7 individual zones I would need 7 amps. I can cut down the number of amps I need by pairing zones together. Those zones (pairs of speakers) would then become 1 single zone that would play the same audio at the same volume. Am I right and what options do I have for the zone(s) to run TV sound? I have read about HDMI arcing but the television and speake

Hello everyone, new here, I’m a bit of a technophobe where it comes to these systems, so please be gentle lol.I was initially sold a system with a connect and a bridge but updated to a boost a few years later as it stopped working due to becoming obsolete but recently had problems with connections and found out the connect has become obsolete too. So I am going to buy a port. My question is, I wonder do you have to put the boost a certain distance away from the router and the port? And also with the new port does that need to be a certain distance away from the boost and the router to avoid any interference.Thank you in advance
Hi all! After several weeks of testing and investigating, I eventually decided to involve you. Hope you can help me to bring some light into this topic. It is weird and not easy to describe. I do my best!Products:Beam2 2* Sonos One SL SubMiniFirmware of all devices is updated. So are the Apps on all mobile phones / tablets / computers.Beam2 is the main device. It is attached to the LG TV eArc.So far so good, it works. The iOS app as well as the MacOS app have issues to „connect“ to the system. The connection itself works. I can send commands to the system. Volume changes, play music … whatever. It all works, basically. However, the app(s) do not show the current status. When I open the app, the volume is zero, the music which is played is not displayed in the app. It looks like it is not connected. Screenshot attached - it was playing music while I made it. What I did so far.Plugged an ethernet cable into the Beam2. It is now connected via cable, the other speakers use the Sonos network
I’m currently using two SONOS Amps in a home theatre setup to power front and rear wired speakers. I’d like to add a turntable to my setup but understand that the line-in of the amps is disabled in this configuration. In order to add a turntable, would I have to connect it to a Port and then somehow play this through my Amp? Thanks
I am trying to connect Sonos amp to a passive sub and a receiver. Is it possible? The phone tech support told me that Sonos amp doesn't support passive subs. Is that true?
The power went out on our house and the sonos sysytem stopped working - tried to reboot but the connect ZP90 I use for ethernet connection has no lights on front - does this mean it is ded?
Hi therei have two connect:amps, one for kitchen, one for garden. The garden is the amp connected to router. this was working fine till yesterday. Nothing has changed.
