Hi,I am trying to connect a hub from my pet door flap to the rear of my ZP100. It fails to connect. It will connect to a range extender no problem. How do I check the ports on the ZP100 are working ?
Hi,I have the new Beam hooked up to my LG C1 via eARC. I have eARC / Atmos enabled on the TV. The volume seems to vary wildly from channel to channel when I am watching YouTube TV. I have noticed in the Sonos app that the volume variations seem to be driven by the source codec, e.g. PCM 2.0 is much louder than Dolby 5.1.It is almost as though the Beam is dipping its volume when the audio format supports more speakers, like it’s expecting the volume to be supplemented elsewhere.Any ideas?
Every day, multiple times a day, our Sonos app crashes. We have three sonos play 1 speakers. We have WiFi, it’s a small office, 1600 sq. ft.We have tried Spotify, Pandora, and the awful Sonos music. Every day, crash, freeze, not working. Often times the pop up “Pandora is offline” or “Spotify is offline” appears, even though we have paid subscriptions, no other users, it’s just garbage. No one at Sonos can help. We’ve has our IT service adjust the router several times. We’ve done all the things. Nothing works. This app has been tried on multiple devices, anndroid, apple, desktop and the result is the same. Crash crash and more crash. I’m throwing my hands up. The speakers are great, the software is trash.
I have an older Connect:Amp and a Playbar which both worked on the S1 app previously. I’ve moved recently and I can get the Playbar to work on my S1 controller at my new place but I can’t add my Connect:Amp to the system without receiving a notification that I need to update the app. When I update, it installs the S2 controller, which tells me both products are incompatible and that I should use the S1 controller. When I go back to the S1 controller, it sends me around the same loop again, telling me it can’t add new products without upgrading to S2, which then kindly informs me all over again that my products are both incompatible with S2 and that I really should try S1. Can someone help me break the cycle? I don’t care which app I use, I just want to be able to listen to records again.
Good evening to everyone,I have a customer with a Sonos system installed on a yacht, configured in Europe with a tablet with the Sonos app downloaded in Europe. The customer has lost the tablet. He bought a new tablet and downloaded the Sonos app on American soil.He has entered the correct credentials but the application does not allow you to make changes. This is possible? If the devices have been configured in Europe with an app downloaded in Europe and you add a tablet with an app downloaded in America, is it normal to have problems?Hope to be clearThank you
HelloI have now been trying to have my Sonos system to my network for a couple of days. Was working earlier last week.System is a 2xSL Sub and Play bar: This system cannot be added to any network that I have running in the house currently a 2.4Ghz and a Ghz. Error come up that they cannot connect to network nor the internal Sonos network. This system is purchased outside of my current living country not sure if this can have an impact or not.Sonos move. This one working without any issues and can be added without any problems. Any tips/help is very appreciated. Kinda hates to have a system just standing around collecting dust // Patrik
Hello,Could someone from Sonos please explain to me what this message means:The connection to Spotify was lostE.g. where in the network the connection couldn’t be made. This is usually what I experience:If I press the Play button on the speaker, Sonos plays the music from Spotify from the playlist/artist I was listening the day before (or a few hours before) If I got to the SONOS App, I can browse Spotify music. But when I try to add the music to the speaker, the message appears. Now, If I try to play a radio from TuneIn, on the same speaker, the music plays fine. So, where does the network connection issue resides?Note: sometimes, when using the Spotify App and choosing to stream on a SONOS speaker, I get around the issue. But not always.Note 2: This has been going on for YEARS. I spoke to Spotify support, Linksys support, SONOS support, none of them managed to find the root cause of the issue.
When starting playback on Spotify, speakers randomly cut in and out, it can take up to a minute to settle down. Once playing it will generally be fine for as long as you like, until you change something. Skipping a track on a playlist will produce the same issue, (while just playing the next track that's already lined up and buffered is fine) when pausing sometimes you can hear some of the speakers still going for a few seconds. Often tracks or changes to the queue will be ignored when the current track finishes. This does not seem to happen with Sonos radio or the local music library on our NAS (when I can get sonos to find it, but that's for another day) A day and a half on the phone and live chat support with both Sonos and Linksys has not fixed things alas.System is connected by a boost to the router, and after support suggested it yesterday, also one of the Play:1s. (like 3 feet away) Sonosnet is set to channel 11, the WiFi (2.4GHz) to channel 1. (although it seems to occupy up to
My router is telling me… “A device using an older Wi-Fi standard (802.11a,b,g,b/g) is slowing down other devices on the network. We recommend turning the Wi-Fi off on this device or turning the device off.” Device Name: Sonos-LivingRoomPlaybar”Any ideas on how to fix this OTHER than turning off the wifi. The playbar is not in a location that is easily hardwired. I have made sure that the firmware is up-to-date.The Playbar is less than 5 years old, so it shouldn’t be out of date technology wise already?!?
Hello, I’ve already posted a few months back about my Sonos Connect which was giving me problems (see thread here), but I got some interesting updates I wanted to share since then.Shortly after that thread I had to move to a new place, so I left the Connect in a box for a while, but I still wanted to give it a last chance. A few weeks later, I went ahead and opened it up to check the power supply output as a last ditch effort (was suspecting a PSU issue). Nothing wrong there, voltages were stable as it should. Now the funny thing is, after putting it back together, it suddenly started working like a charm! Not a single crash for weeks on end. Got me really puzzled as to what happened since the only thing I thought I did was to check the voltages, nothing else.Fast forward 6 months to a few days back, and it finally crashes again. Now here’s some observations I could gather better this time:The Connect was set up on a new wifi since the “fix” (new home, new router, new wifi). The last thi
I received an RMA email minutes after chat with the Sonos agent. The link to initiate the process failed to complete. A follow-up chat about the problem led to an escalation to the 'returns team'. I was told I would receive a reply within 24-48 hrs. Almost a week later and I'm still waiting... My problem is compounded by having to use the chat support (due to a speech impediment which makes phone support almost impossible).I sort of expected better practical support from Sonos.
Greetings, The above thread is closed, so I’m starting a new one, with the hopes of finding a solution. My Play 5 gen 1 lost all communication a while ago. There was a very nice videon on YT by Henzelmen, which made me fix the power supply. The unit came back to life, let me update firmware. But during the update, I noticed a background hiss. After the upgrade, I can play music, but it is tinny, lacking bass and continues to be noisy and quite low volume from what I do remember this Play:5 delivering in the past.I did ohm out all the resistors indicated in the picture of the above thread. They all seem ok, except R27833, which according to the marking (30d) should be a 200kOhm, but measures 4.99kOhm…When I do measure Source-Drain on the MosFET (Q27621), it shows a short circuit. I’m guessing this means the mosfet is busted…Now, I went on Amazon and on Newark Electronics, looking for APM4307, but it doesn’t show up. And I haven’t found an equivalent either. Can someone point me in the rig
Hi, I have a SONOS system I bought a couple years ago and over the past few months they have routinely disconnected themselves and require reset to get working. Now they are not even being found, despite being reset.Do I just have a bad system? What can be done to fix it?
Yes
My setup isplaybar, sub, 2x play1 4x play3This is a wired setup, as the playbar and one of the play3’s has been wired. All have their own mac address defined in central dhcp server and will receive a fixed ip address when rebooting. The Sonos system is reachable using the Mac OSX S2.app and works fineEver since is have been forced to change WiFi network do to moving house, the whole system cannot be found on any mobile (iOS/Android) S1 or S2 controller.Even the hints to get into the system do not work. What is the best way to get my mobile devices connected to my Sonos system Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
I have several speakers throughout my home. However my Play:5 always turns on cranked to the max! It is extremely startling and frustrating!!! All others remain at the volume they were set to before turned off. Why is this one speaker winky??
I started having problems with audio randomly stopping during the day a couple months ago. I only recently learned about the Network Matrix so I have no idea what it looked like before this started.I currently have two Play 1’s in each upstairs offce, a Play 5 gen 2 in the living room and an Move in the Kitchen. When I look at my Network Matrix, both Play 1's and the Play 5 are all showing OFDM ANI level 9. I have a few home automation devices that are stuck using 2.4ghz, so I figured it might be interference from those.I’ve pretty much turned off every device in my house, moved the speakers everywhere I can think of and nothing seems to have made any difference. I replaced my mesh wifi system with an Asus AX6600 and bought a boost to try. Same thing. All of the speakers are red, as well as the boost.I do live in an are with some wifi congestion, but I find it hard to believe that there would be that much interference from my neighbors that it causes the OFDM ANI Level 9 no matte
Do my eyes deceive me? Roon now showing 24bit signal path for QOBUZ streaming. No more changing to 16bit.
I have a very simple home system consisting of of a standard modem/router (ZTE H268A) and 2 Unifi lite APs. I have 6 Sonos devices (2 x Play5s, 2 x Play1s, Arc Soundbar, Sub). Before changing to the Unifi setup all Sonos products worked fine and were accessible via the Sonos or Windows app. However, they are no longer accessible. So I reset the app (Android) and tried to start afresh. I reset one of the Play1s (wireless) and tried to add to the app - but the app cannot find the speaker. So I temporarily connected the speaker to my router via an ethernet cable and I can find it in the app and add. But if I remove the cable the speaker is no longer visible in the Sonos app.I would like to have all Sonos devices connected wirelessly.I have tried various configuration changes as mentioned in multiple topic queries both in this Sonos Community blog and also in the Ubiquity Community Forums without success.Anyone got Sonos working purely on WiFi with Unifi APs?
If anyone is having problems updating their Sonos 2 app after the update then here is what happened to me.After updating the app my system stopped working completely. The Virgin hub blocks certain sites including the Sonos servers from accessing it properly therefore creating problems with the app update and consequently drives us all insane trying to figure out what is going on. After many hours of investigation and trial and error I was told by Virgin that the DNS settings need to be changed but they cannot be changed by logging into the settings from your computer, they have to be done by Virgin - but if you’re using a MAC then you can change them as follows:Go to:’Settings’Network’ Select ‘Wifi’ Select ‘Advanced’Select ‘DNS’ in the tab aboveClick on '+’ add 8.8.4.4 within the empty field, (perhaps the other settings will work on other computers but this worked for me)Click on ‘Ok' and ‘Apply’ Delete and re-install the Sonos 2 app from the phone or device and it will work immediat
Suddenly since the last update my Roam does not respond with the Expected track ...
Hi,Suddenly my Spotify can't connect to my Sonos system. The Sonos speakers are greyed out. Restarted everything that could be restarted and still doesn't work. It works directly from Sonos app. Diagnostic: 1035883723
Hey, since the v13.3 update, the multiple volume sliders are gone from the Android app when multiple devices are grouped. Setup: Phone → [Bluetooth] → Roam → grouped with other speakers. Before 13.3, each speaker within the group would have its own volume slider, and they could be controlled independently. With 13.3, I don’t even get the in-app volume control, but rather the phone’s default bluetooth volume control. When playing straight on Sonos (without BT/Roam as the source), it’s the same problem: no multiple sliders are shown when using the main slider. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Sonos:5 won't stop playing random music! The controller app doesn't think anything is playing, so happily plays along! It took a long time to pin down what was happening because it was playing on the lowest volume setting and I was going nuts thinking I was hearing things. It seems to be a free station so there are ads mixed in too.The controller app shows nothing is playing, and when I use the physical button on the speaker it turns off for maybe a second, then right back on. The volume buttons seem to control the “phantom” station independent of what I play through the app. I’ve read about the Spotify issue allowing other users (on or off your wifi), but I would have assumed I could still both see what was playing and change it if this were the issue - no?It is connected via wifi only (no ethernet or line-in).
