Sonos Amp and x2 Ones not showing in app after upgrading router. Purchased a boost to create a sonos network to fix router issue. x2 ones working fine within app but Amp still not showing. Have hardwired Amp to network to no avail. Anybody else having this issue? Sonos phone help seem to just get confused and/or blame my router. Router is a Netgear Nighthawk RAX43
The last couple of days I have been having major drop-outs when playing from streaming services (Pocket Casts and BBC Sounds) and also from my NAS. It’s only been a week since I did a complete power down of all Sonos devices and router and booted back up. I know my wi-fi environment is noisy and has caused connectivity issues for Sonos but also my work laptop via wireless upstair so I expect that to be the issue. But I’d appreciate a Sonos person checking the diagnostic to see if maybe there may be another culprit since I have also recently added a new Sonos One SL and moved things around a bit. Diagnostic 1505611723.
Hello - When playing music through the playbar, it will randomly go silent for 3 to 8 seconds. The song keeps progressing - it’s almost like mute was hit then unmuted after a few seconds. This only happens when playing MP3s from either my computer or my phone. We have a move as well, and that has no issues playing music from the same sources, so I know it’s no the computer entering sleep mode or anything like that. Playbar was on wifi, but I wired it in thinking that would solve this - it didn’t. Our network is very strong - 1 gb speeds. Haven’t tried streaming services, only mp3s on computer or my phone (computer is hardwired into same network). TV audio works fine. Has anyone experienced this?
Hello Everybody, Im quite dissappointed with my recently purchased Sonos Boost. Currently i have the following Sonos System connected to my new Sonos Boost (previously connected to my router on the 5ghz band):2 Sonos ONE 1 Sub Gen 3 2 Sonos Fivethe first time i connected just the 2 Fives i had a problem with de 2.4 ghz band connection that everytime I skip songs or turn the volume up, i lost the connection some seconds with one of the speakers. I switched both to the 5ghz band, and problem solved. Then i add the other speakers and sub to the same band on my router, everything works flawlesly.Next week i will add 1 Sonos Beam Gen 2 and 1 Sonos Arc and i thought it would be better to have a dedicated network wit the Sonos Boost since there is going to be 7 speakers connected. Well, i bought the Sonos Boost and my conection is just like the first time, im loosing the signal in some speakers. Is there something wrong im dooing? I thought it was improving my system and now i dont know. Coul
Hello everyone, my system has been seriously glitching lately. The primary problems are that groups aren't working and speakers don't play when they should. Can you "restart" your system in any way? The biggest problem is that my Sonos Beam won't play music with my other Ones. After more than a year of flawless operation, it has been 50/50 over the past few weeks. Thanks.
Well, this one is annoying. I have a Yoga Studio and have 6 Play 3’s mounted on the walls, when you switch tracks or playlists or even when they songs run themselves and switch to the next track at least half of the speakers drop out, but within 30 seconds they all reconnect. Internet speed is 300MB+ and I did try turning off the modem and router (just those 2) and for a short time afterwards the audio was switching perfectly no dropouts at all. Then today we are back to speakers dropping out again. In conclusion, the audio will drop from certain speakers and return within 30 seconds without intervention, the system consists of 6 Play 3’s, 2 SYMFONISK’s, a Connect, and a Boost. If anyone has a solution or idea please share, one of my teachers ditched this epic Sonos system to use a JBL BT speaker for a class “because it works”, so please any help here is huge
Everything was working fine yesterday. Today, when I turned on Apple Music from my iMac the Sonos Play 1 will not play the music from Apple. I have checked all updates (Sonos, Apple) and still nothing. Our internet is working as I am typing this on the internet. White light on speak is on. Apple Music plays on the iMac. I don’t know what else to do.
Sonos Port causing buzzing hum when connected to a crown XLi 800 amplifier. All new equipment. Thought the Port was bad - so got a second one and the same issue occurs. I tested with different sources (ie: phone connection) direct into the amp and no buzzing / hum occurred - it is just the Sonos Port that causes the noise. The buzz / hum appears to be at a constant level even when the volume is adjusted. Does anyone have any ideas? Appreciate any comments or ideas to get this resolved.
Planning to install Ubiquiti Dream Machine end of week. Wondering if there are any known issues with this router. Currently have 10 Sonos speakers on Sonosnet and 2 Moves on Wi-Fi. Thanks in advance for any input.
Need to play music through line in on Play Gen 2 in a simple plug and play mode as have multiple users with devicesHave followed all instructions for settings on website:Line in Autoplay etc etcHave tried with wireless enabled & wireless disabledHas intermittently worked briefly but then won’t work at allSpent many hours trolling through help...and working with amp/resetting app... and have even reset amp in hope of clearing any faults. This should not be so convoluted.Any ideas please?
I am using Amazon music, with my Connect:Amp and Sub. Whenever we play an Artists station, it skips the the last 3 seconds of every song. I cna hear the sub still producing sounds but the Amp does not. Exactly 3 Seconds of every song. It seems like a crossfade issue but crossfade is off. I've gone through the usual troubleshooting steps - rebooting the system, rebooting the router, changing the network channel, and deleting and reauthorizong Amazon Music all with no change. Any suggestions? I've searched here in the forum but every similar issue is more random as opposed to mine which is the last 3 seconds of every song.
I’m having problems with sound from my Sonos connect. It’s connected with phono plugs to existing amplifier. I play the music and can see it’s playing but get sound intermittently. If I move the volume bar up and down on my iPhone I get sound but again only briefly. I have reset the app and connect but still does the same. Really frustrating to nearly get it working. Could it be a faulty connect or am I doing something wrong many thanks
Yesterday, when I logged into Spotify to play music through my Sonos, my Sonos speakers were not visible in the Spotify application. The speakers are still available in the Sonos app.I have had some form of my Sonos system up and running for around 2 years now. Nothing has changed since the last time I used the system. Power did go out since the last time it was working (I think), but I’ve lost power in the past without issueI’ve tried everything from unplugging the speakers, updating my phone and applications, restarting my router -- I even fully uninstalled and factory reset all of my speakers and re-connected them. They are still not visible in the Spotify app. When I uplugged my Five and my Sonos Move, they were temporarily available, but disappeared again. I’ve had no such luck with my Beam or Arc.This is true for both my iPhone mobile Spotify app as well as my Windows10 desktop app.The Move and Five are connected to my 5G network. The Beam and Arc are connected to my 2.4G network
Hi Experts, We are going to use Sonos Amp for a Hotel. we connect AMP with RJ45 to FS S3400-24T4FP switch and run sonon s2 controller. The issue is that when we want to sign in to profile app say that “Network Problem Detected --- Check your intnernet connection and try again” but have a internet connection. Another point is that, via Pc we can ping AMP and also find IP address of AMP in sonos app and our DHCP. second point; we have Fortigate firewall but there is no any policy on it. I have tested AMP behind Fortigate but still issue persist. Any help would be appreciated. Best,Ghasem
I am becoming extremely frustrated with my Sonos. I use it in my office at work, I have moved to a different room, some 10 feet away and it stopped working completely!! It is on the same router and every time it says it cannot find the system, blah blah blah!!! I have done a factory reset, deleted the app, you name it I have tried it. I am losing my patience and have a very expensive paperweight!!!!!!!
I think found a fix for the issue with the KQED Sonos audio stream that was causing frequent dropped audio. The issue itself is clearly related to the feed from KQED to Sonos. I don’t have an issue with other Sonos stations, or with streaming KQED outside of Sonos. To solve the issue I created my own radio station manually, directed to the primary stream at https://streams.kqed.org/. I did this using the PC desktop app, but I think it can be done on the mobile app as well. When searching for a solution I found other people having the same problem. Maybe this post will be helpful to someone.
I have a customer who runs a gym and has a Connect connected to his soundsystem. He is having regular issues with the mornings alarm not playing the radio channel via Sonos Radio but goes straight to Chime. We’ve tried to change radio stations but the issue is still there. It does not happen every morning but more sporadically, so its hard to track. Went there today to do some more testing and we are having problems with radio channels. I tried different services like Sonos Radio, Tunein etc. but none streamed the radio. Added my spotifyaccount to check and that works like a charm. After an hour of tinckering the radio started playing again… =/ PC has been restarted, Connect has been restarted, Network is ok (Lots of other stuff connected which has no issues at all) Diagnostic:1937825018 - Can anyone see if anything is logged here? Thanks, Jan
Im using xfinity modem in Bridge mode, have a very large home with Eero acting as my router and wifi extenders. I have 6 eero 6 pros throughout my property and constantly deal with speakers going offline and coming back on. My Network Matrix shows red and orange and I need help diagnosing and fixing the problem. The 2 Ones that are RED on the matrix are in great wifi reception areas and are is some of the least busy wifi device areas. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I love the product, but it sucks with a mesh WiFi. Any fix? Pretty sure nobody will see this anyway. Buy something else.
Hi!My playbase is completely dead. After opening it up and remove the main board I could see two burned resistors. May be lightning damage?Does anyone have a repair guide so I can se what type of resistors to buy and try to replace?See attached pictures. Is there an internal fuse in the Playbase? I can’t find one but on some forums they refer to internal fuse. Kid regards /Martin
I have a jellyfin server running on my Linux box, which is serving as my DLNA server, for music, etc.I cannot find a way to get Sonos to see jellyfin.I have tried going into music library setup and adding\\moray.lan:8096\web\index.htmlNothing. I don’t see it in the jellyfin log, or in the firewall (ufw) log This server is available via browser, android jellyfin app, my Denon receiver, Roku, etcOnly Sonos fails.Years ago, I added the music files via a Samba server, using the ugly SMB protocol. It works sending info to Sonos. But I prefer to switch to DLNA. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with Sonos support, but didn’t get very far. They agreed to put in a request for DLNA support. They were not happy that I was using Linux, though they claim support for NAS. They suggested that I install Plex, which is available for Linux. It is a possible solution, but I want support for 19 year old DLNA protocol.I can use the android jellyfin app to broadcast music to Sonos, though it shows up as PCM 4
Hi,Almost giving up on sonos - but when moving to a new place I have decided to give it a new try.I have a system with a total of 10 speakers in in different rooms, but sadly the system now feels close to useless as i cannot trust it to work, and it feels more convinient for me to listen to radio, music and podcast on headphones rather than than the system constantly dropping out, skipping songs etc.I have even bought a boost to see if that could help - sadly. No luck.Could anyone have a look into my diagnosis and see if there is anything i can do?I soo much miss the time when the system actually worked .. now its close to useless. My diagnosis number is: 648281180.
Hi all!I have a recently bough Harmony Elite that I use with my Sonos Home Theater System.I control the Sonos System volume directly via the Elite (I guess via Wifi as it is not using IR).It worked flawlessly for a couple of weeks, and as soon as I press the volume up or down button, volume changes were instant and with no delays.A couple of days ago I noticed the remote sometimes seems to stop work when I try to change volume, specially if I press the volume up or down repeatedly. Hub led often ligths red and takes up some time to recover.Anyone else with this issue?I’ve resetted the hub several times, and also the remote, and created again activities. It temporarily solves the issue,, but after a while, issue returns. If I use the Sonos app, none of this happens.
Recently discovered this little snag:My mother has been recording books for our children using Voice Memos on her iPhone and emailing them to us. We’ve been playing them using AirPlay from our iPad, but wanted more flexibility so tried to a) Put them in our NAS-based SMB2 library and b) Play them from Android devices using the Sonos app (we use an iPad for FaceTime but both parents’ personal phones are Android). What we’ve found is that .m4a files produced by Voice Memos fail to play using the Sonos App, reporting “Unable to play ‘Title’ - the song is not encoded correctly.” This is true both playing from “On This Mobile Device” on Android or from the Music Library share.I’ve reproduced this with several test recordings on multiple iOS devices on iOS 15.x.Salient ffprobe output:ffprobe version 2022-06-30-git-03b2ed9a50-essentials_build-www.gyan.dev Copyright (c) 2007-2022 the FFmpeg developers built with gcc 12.1.0 (Rev2, Built by MSYS2 project) configuration: --enable-gpl --enable-ve
I have three Sonos SL and one Roam. I connect via AirPlay on either iPhone or iPad. Whatever I play on the iOS devices cuts whenever I hit pause.Few more details:If I immediately hit play again it starts without significant delay, but if the stream is paused for more than maybe 10-20 seconds it cuts. Cut is maybe the wrong word, because it starts streaming with a significant delay of 30-50 seconds. Example: I listen to a song on Spotify and hit pause at 2:00 into the song. I press pause and then press play after 30 seconds. The song will then start play on my iOS device, but audio will come from the Sonos speakers at somewhere between 2:30 or 2:50. Same with Audible or any other app. Current solution: Press AirPlay Ivón in command center if iOS, connect to internal speakers and then reconnect to one or several Sonos speakers.Quite annoying!
