Can I use Sonos in Restaurant with 36 ceiling speakers based on computation if we do 4 spekars per AMP I need 9 AMP then they say I can link this AMP via Switch with 1GB port is this workable?
I’m attempting to assist a neighbor setting up existing ceiling speakers to create a home theater as well as a second zone for music.Currently have 4 working ceiling speakers (front L & R, rear L & R) as well as a SONOS Sub and soundbar (neither of these SONOS model or generation unknown)Have purchased 3 AMP’s with thought of using 2 for home theater (1-Front L&R, 2nd Rear L&R and 3rd for speaker pair in different room).WiFi is in room behind TV room so signal great & not planning on using any Ethernet connection.Looking for details on how to create “Home Theater” room especially AMP grouping and achieving correct configuration for Home Theater. Thanks in advance for your assistance on my journey
Hi,I’ve got 3 active speakers of Bang & Olufsen that I would like to keep and to use with Sonos Port ;)2 front Beolab 18 1 sub Beolab 19I tried to connect the 2 front speakers with RCA cables directly to the “out” of the SONOS PORT and it works well ! Both speakers turns ON and the music is playing.Do you know how to add the sub Beolab 19 ?Do you know if this is possible to connect the BEOSOUND 9000 to the input of the SONOS Port ?Did anyone tried it? Hi, I recently moved into a house with in-ceiling speakers and Zoneplayer 120 / Connect Amp connected to the speakers throughout the house, other than in the basement where there is no amp. I am using the basement room as a gym so I don’t see the need to have that room play the same music as other parts of the house.I was just going to get a used Zoneplayer 120 / Connect Amp but they still sell for $200+ CAD where I am. My questions is do you see any benefit in getting that over a generic Bluetooth amp for less than half the price. Bluetooth would be nice because I am then not limited to S1 music services (no Airplay, etc.).If I stick to similar wattage of the Zoneplayer 120 (55W per speaker), will I miss out on sound quality? Some alternative Bluetooth amps I found quickly on Amazon are: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B06Y67PZB1/ref=emc_b_5_thttps://www.amazon.ca/dp/B076XSBCCL/ref=emc_b_5_iLook forward to hearing your views. Thanks.

Sonos system works fine with streamed music, and is almost fine with playing music from my WD My Cloud Home NAS directly through the speakers, but the Connect amp often finds it hard to make a connection to the NAS or begins a song and then drops out (in which case I get an error message warning me the wifi is unstable. This has been happening for a long while (years)! We’ve been through the unplug / reset steps, and have now moved the system to a new (and supposedly faster) modem/router. Our internet service is patchy, the price of living in regional Australia with a government that crippled the national broad band network from the beginning, but while this may cause the connect amp a problem or two, it doesn’t explain why the system appears to work better when I bypass the amp.Any suggestions / insights are welcome.Albert
Moderator edit:Google Translate - Good morning, I have a problem with the disconnection of the sub, I have stored the sonos AMP in the basement that gives sound to the terrace, I add the subwoofer on the terrace and it is impossible for me to connect it to the sonos AMP. My question is, if the subwoofer connects to the sonos AMP by wifi or by bluetooh?
I’d be grateful if this issue could be raised with Sonos support. For several months now my Sonos S1 system has been unable to play content from my remote Plex server. The problem may also apply to Sonos S2, but I haven’t tested this. It used to work without any issues. The symptoms are:The Plex server content can be searched from the Sonos apps, and items can be added to the queue without problems. When one attempts to play the item(s), playback will immediately fail with ‘the connection to Plex was lost’. This applies to all content. The issue can be fixed by setting ‘Network > Secure connections’ to ‘Disabled’ on the Plex Server. It then works perfectly. This hints at a problem at the Sonos end, in making secure connections to Plex … but it could be an issue at the Plex end, or a mixture of the two. This is not a workaround, however, because apart from the security issues it presents, it also breaks remote access from all other Plex clients, which require a secure connection.Note tha
Sound quality overall poor, particularly vocals. Sound is scratchy. Sound quality is worse playing older records. I use a vintage Yamaha turntable through a preamp
For posterity and FYI. About 5 years ago I did a Wyred4sound upgrade on a ZP90. One of the concerns from posters was impacts on reliability. 5 years later that ZP 90 is still in service, now as a ROON endpoint. Wyred4Sound does upgrades on Zone Players and Ports.
I bought a house with two Connects, both dated 1504. Using S2, one of them connects seamlessly with Airplay, one does not. I've heard that 2015 is the year that certain compatibilities changed, perhaps even in April of ‘15. Is it possible that I have one device that's "modern," another that isn't? Or is there a different/better explanation?
Hello,I recently purchased the Pro-Ject TI and hooked it up directly to my Sonos Play:5. For the first two weeks, no issues. Now, however, when I play records, a light static sound comes through the speakers. When I put the volume up or down, the static goes up and down too. When I physically hold down the “earthing connection” screw, the static mostly goes away, but is still there. There’s no “pull” on the cable. They are put in with plenty of “give.” Has anyone had the same issue or know how to resolve this? Any insight would be appreciated!
My connect:amp 1 gen cannot play loud from my Bower & Wilkins speakers. Neither inputs from my LG TV nor Spotify can play loud when to volume control is at its max in the app. The app is set at level10 but the through put is still not high volume at it’s max. Anyone?
Has anyone else run into an issue with the volume increments being in increments of 5? I’m assuming this is because of a recent update to the iOS app (I noticed it when the app version was 14.15 and after having updated to iOS 16) because before I could control my volume just fine. Now, when I go into the Sonos app and tap the volume bar, it rounds to the closest increment of 5. For example, setting to 16 or 17 moves it back down to 15 and setting to 19 moves it up to 20. Trying to set the volume with grouped speakers also is basically impossible as a result since it tries to find a good spot for all the volumes. I noticed some people on Reddit reported this as well. Anyone else on this forum notice this and is there a bug fix planned? Also as a side note, how does the Sonos app not have a bug reporting feature? Why do I have to create a forum account to report an issue, it should be possible in the app itself
I have a main house plus a rental space, I’ve created two SSIDs on my network, "home" and "guest". I'd like to add one amp to "guest" network, so that people on the "home" network can't accidentally access that speaker and vice versa. Is it possible?
Le son de mon sonos connect saute comme et grésille. Mod edit:Google Translate:The sound from my sonos connect pops like and crackles.
The Sonos Amp goes into ‘idle’ mode when it doesn’t detect an audio signal for more than 3 minutes. It’s a shame that the Amp doesn’t automatically wake up from idle mode when the TV it’s connected to is turned on. Every time I switch the TV on, and begin playing content, I miss the first 3 seconds of audio as I wait for the Amp to wake up. Every other audio receiver I’ve used has been able to turn itself on when the TV is turned on, using HDMI CEC control. Could this not be implemented in the Amp? This problem also occurs when you pause whatever content you’re watching for more than 3 minutes - the Amp goes to idle mode, and then you miss the first 3 seconds of audio when you begin playing again. Could idle mode not be disabled when the connected TV is powered on?
Hi,I’m having issues with my sonossystem for the past 3 years. Me and the support team really tried everything with my managed switches and al speakers are wired (6 of them) but we couldn’t solve it.To try something diferent, I bought a Sonos Boost yesterday and unpluged all the wired speakers. But all my speakers are still connecting to the wifi, instead of the boost. How can I force my speakers to connect to the boost? Thanks in advance!Thomas

Can anyone suggest a few routers for Sonos surround sound ( arc, base, and 2 1s) upstairs sonos 2 Roams and a Move that are taken outside for parties, ethernet, and gaming? I tried buying a mesh network last year and had to return it as it did not work. The Verizon router I currently have is just not hacking it. I pay for 1 gig and I am pretty sure that my router is holding me back. I am hoping to take advantage of some Cyber Monday deals.
Good day allI am desperate for some help with my Sonos system; it has never been reliable, and my efforts to sort it just seem to make it worse and worse. My setup:Sky Broadband through a TP Link Archer VR2100 routerSonos BoostGF:Beam, Sub and Two Play:1’s in Living Room. I just tried playing through all speakers and it worked! Brilliant, sorted, I thought. Forty minutes later the whole system w
Hi everyone,I have sonos amp and LG UM7100PLB. I wish to make lighting of my livingroom by Philips hue HDMI sync box. But I read it need Dolby Vision or atmos. Does sonos amp support it or TV? Thank you for answare
I have a Sonos connect wired to my purely analog amplifier (connected to 2 floorstanding speakers through cable).I’m trying to stream Spotify music to the amplifier from my iPhone XS (so that I use the Sonos DAC) but the sound is chopping up (1-2 sec drops every minute or 2). So, no wireless speakers or anything,Sonos connect is on channel 6, router is on 11. I can stream perfectly from the iPhone to wireless homepod speakers so the wifi is not the problem probably. Not sure what is.
Hello I have in my kitchen 2 sonos one paired as stereo. In my living room i recently got a port. All 3 devices are wired and deactivated wireless. When grouping kitchen and living room i get a delay and it creates an ecco. Sounds terrible. Is there anything to do?
