Let's talk about Sonos Connect, Connect:AMP, Sonos AMP, and setups using Sonance architectural, or your own speakers and components.

Dear Community I'd like to play my music through my Denon AVR 2313 via Sonos connect. But I have to play with the volume level set at 70-80% - to be able to hear the music - can that be right? Kind Regards
Every day I walk past my Bose sound dock and wish there was A SONOS plugin for it!
I would like to see a Sonos product similar to the Sonos Connect/ZP90 but instead of connecting to an amplifier it has a Bluetooth connection supporting A2DP/ APT X. You could then stream music from your iPod/iPhone, android phone or any device with Bluetooth similar to the way the iPod dock works, or the line in on the Connect, but the connection is made via Bluetooth rather than a wire In addition it should support transmitting music via Bluetooth so that a Bluetooth speaker or headphones could be used and it would work like a traditional zone player transmitting the music to the device attached to the zone via Bluetooth. I think this one device would meet the needs of some other requests here for sonos headphones, portable speakers and being able to play music directly from a PC/iPad etc as this could all be done over Bluetooth and using A2DP/APT X would give a good quality sound.
Having an intermittent sound problem with my connect amp that I have had for possible 4 years. Never missed a beat. Always in the same position. Any ideas?
I have a connect amp, and am trying to run my digital audio from my stereo into my connect amp via the analog audio inputs. I have a D>A converter, and when I select line in for the sonos, the audio is extremely quiet and cannot be increased. It sounds like there is something which I have not activated, that is holding back the sound. Any ideas? Thanks, Jeremy
Why doesn't the Sonos Connect support digital input so that you can use it to attach e.g. Play-3 speakers and the SUB to a TV? Every modern TV utilizes HDMI and Optical Output and you can find less and less dual RCA cable output. Yes, the Sonos Connect has a simple mini jack to dual RCA which I could use but I really don't want to try to watch movies that way. I am willing put put the money down for a good solution but it appears that there is none. I fear I have to take back the SUB and the connect. Do you know of any solution to this? Thanks!
I would like to group a record player with a Connect and a receiver with a Connect. Has anyone tried this? I'm guessing there will be a delay. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I recently received a TEAC TN-350 turntable for Christmas. I attached the device to my SONOS Connect {Zone1} input. It works well from my directly connect speakers on Zone 1. However the other areas Zone 2 (two grouped Play 1), Zone 3 (single play3) , Zone 4 (Playbar) and Zone 5 ( Play) tend to drop out similar to a loss signal or just weak. I also notice that volume is not consistent. conversely the quality is so better when streaming over Sirius or Groove Music. Does anyone have any ideas why the difference in quality? The Teac Turntable output is through RCA going into Connect input.
So I have 11 ceiling speakers all rated for 4-ohms to 8-ohms for each speaker. These: https://www.pyleaudio.com/sku/PDIC60/In-Wall--In-Ceiling-Dual-65-inch-Speaker-System,-Directable-Tweeter,-2-Way,-Flush-Mount,-White And 2 ceiling subwoofers rated for 8-ohms each. I don't mind all of them on the same zone. Is there any possible way to set up a Sonos system for them? Thanks
The Lanesborough Millésime trunk. Comes with a Sonos speaker (somewhere). Doesn't specify which model. 20-24 weeks lead time. :( https://www.edenbeing.com/boutique/boutique-for-the-home/EB103XX1315.html?curr=USD 😃

A longer version of this is stuck in the spam filter. I was looking on Amazon and they are offering Squaretrade service plans (extended warranties) for a very good price and I wondered why Sonos can't offer the same plans when you buy a device directly from Sonos instead of having to go through Amazon? Hi sonos and fellow users, I’m a Installer for a Audio and video company, Doing lots of sonos installs. I have many installs which uses the sonos connect amps with inceiling speakers for multi room audio, which also includes tvs. I have many clients want Audio from the tv to their inceiling speakers but without having a sound bar, they are trying to keep the wall clean as possible without having a sound bar on it. Can Sonos introduce a optical in on the connect amp (version 2), and also maybe a external IR sensor kit so when the client uses the original TV remote, it will have the ability to change the volume up/down, almost the combination of the playbar and sonos connect functions rolled into one connect amp. And if it has a optical in (for the tv, and analogue in.. for cd etc) the connect amp will have the ability to have to have two sources run into it. The other feature is default source option, so if your running music from Spotify, etc, soon as the tv is on, it overrides th
Hi sonos and fellow users, I have been doing a lot of sonos in domestic jobs which I use multiple sonos amplifiers or connects in them in racks, can sonos produce a narrower form factor for it to be rack mountable. At current sizes, you can fit 2 connect amps side by side, or 3 connects. If you have racked version, you might able to squeeze in 4 units. I have attached one of the jobs that I have done....note the system still cool even though it’s in a cupboard with door close, front door vent on bottom, and a extraction vent in roof cavity to extract the heat, system is almost silent with this setup just incase you had a question if the system goes hot? I have other systems that is a similar setup to this, and I’m sure there is the custom installer that have large sonos jobs like this too
Hi sonos and fellow users, Can sonos introduce trueplay to the connect and connect amp models?
Hi sonos and fellow users, This has been proberly discussed on many occasions, I have installed many sonos products and competitive products too, the advantages of the competition is that they can play hi resolution audio, why is that important, well some clients have dedicated stereo systems, and want something that’s in higher quality when it comes to playback, that’s where sonos is falling behind, the other thing is some customers don’t have the ability to network their music or need a NAS drive or even have to leave their computer on 24/7. Can sonos start introducing USB ports so the client can stream direct or share it, and also Bluetooth capabilities. Unfortunately here in Australia our internet is not the most reliable time to time, and that if there is no interenet, there is no music, if they have the options of streaming from USB or Bluetooth, it’s always a great backup option
Have a boost that replaced an old bridge long ago now wondering if makes sense to just give away the bridge (no longer on the network), or is there reason to keep. Have wired Boost & Playbar with a Play1 & Play3 over wi-fi (with mostly good signal results), along with a wired NAS. Wi-Fi router broadcasts 2.5Ghz & 5Ghz. Read others discussing SonosNet v1.0 vs. v2.0 and especially since I have a wired Boost & Playbar, maybe just ditch the bridge? Or does it make sense to keep to in some way extend the range & coverage somehow to my Wi-Fi players? Thanks!
If you pair a sub with a play:5 for example, you can clearly hear the play:5 is cut at the frequency the sub starts at, which is how it’s supposed to be. If you’d add a sub to a playbar for a surround setup to watch a movie this should not happen because the sub should be the .1 aka the LFE channel. Which also means the playbar should be full range. Is this the case? Or is the sub paired to the soundbar to be an extension for the low frequencies?
Can anyone recommend a preamp that would let me hook up CD player and a phono turntable to the single CONNECT LineIn? I've used a receiver for this in the past but am looking to create a setup where all of the speakers are SONOS wireless and so I'm looking for something small and lightweight that does not have an amp for external speakers. And yes I know I could rip everything to digital NAS storage. Not interested.
Hi, moving house and celebrating by bumping up our stereo system. We plan on adding a turntable than using a new sonos system to distribute the output (and enjoy our music all over the house). I understand that a turntable must have a preamp to use the line in on a connect. Struggling to find if the turntables we are looking at meet the bill. So if someone could suggest a good turntable that will connect to a sonos i would be grateful. Our budget would be up to £500.
I would like to stream my existing CD player & Turntable to a PLAY 1 via a CONNECT unit. The components have standard connections to a receiver. What is the proper connection from the CONNECT to the receiver? There is a TAPE (rec) and a TAPE (play) available. (The components play fine when individually connected to the CONNECT.
I'm looking for advice to see if the sonos connect amp is the right choice for me. I am trying to add a second zone to my 7.1 home theater. If I add the sonos connect amplifier as a second zone from my home theater, then connect 2 speakers to the outside of the house, I should be able to listen to what is playing on the home theater outside; correct? This should be a one way only from theater to sonos connected speakers? If so, I can add a wireless speaker to that new sonos 2nd zone amp and choose which of the speakers to activate to listen to?
I've had my tv connected via phono leads to my Connect and into my stereo since I bought my Sonos set-up three years ago. It's worked perfectly fine for watching tv, movies, YouTube, etc but now there is about a 2 second lag between the picture and the sound which makes this method completely unwatchable! What has caused this and why? And what can be done to rectify it.
Sonos One has terrific sound. It would be great if one day Sonos put out a 360° omnidirectional speaker.
Let me start by stating that I'm a 10 plus year Sonos user and I've been on the beta program in the past. I think I have an above average understanding of how this equipment works. That said, I have a ZP100 in my office with a turntable connected to it. Yes the turntable has a preamp built-in and yes it's connected to the inputs on the ZP100 but I cannot get the turntable to play through the ZP100. I followed the instructions on the site and run into issues where it says to "click on the line-in settings on the Room Settings menu". My issue is that no line-in menu shows up under room settings. Here's what mine shows... I've tried resetting the unit and that did not work. Every other function of the ZP100 works perfectly except for this one. I also tried on my ZP80 and both Play:1's and have the same result. I've got several hours invested so far and I'm out of ideas. Anyone have any pointers?
