Sonos Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, my system has been seriously glitching lately. The primary problems are that groups aren't working and speakers don't play when they should. Can you "restart" your system in any way? The biggest problem is that my Sonos Beam won't play music with my other Ones. After more than a year of flawless operation, it has been 50/50 over the past few weeks. Thanks.

Have you tried a network refresh? Power down all of your speakers and your router. Wait a few minutes and then power up your router. When it has fully restarted power up your Sonos devices, one at a time. Do your Beam before any surrounds connected to it. See how that goes.

After restarting the network as above, I recommend that you “reserve” IP addresses of all regular network clients. This is a router function that should be documented for your router.

Look for the router’s DHCP settings page. You can usually give them a static/reserved address as well as a meaningful name.

Power all Sonos down once done, reboot the router then power back on the Sonos, any wired units first.

So Sonos Beam in the Computer room, the 64 is the last of the MAC address: SonosBM-64-CR

Doing this ended several issues that were frustrating me.
