I don’t know if this is relevant, but I recently upgraded from an iPhone 8 and to an iPhone 12 and have yet to use my Sonos via my new phone because of the problem outlined below. I never had this problem with my old phone.I have Spotify Premium. Both iOS and MacOS Spotify apps recognize my Sonos Play:1 but will not play through the Play:1 speakers. When I try to connect to the device from the Spotify apps, I get an endless “connection” animation but nothing happens. In MacOS, if I hover over the connection animation I see the message “Spotify is not active on this device”, meaning the Sonos speaker. In the Sonos 2 app (originally encountered this issue in the Sonos 1 app before thinking an upgrade to Sonos 2 would resolve the issue) I can see all of my Spotify songs, etc. I can log in to Spotify just fine. However, when I tap a song to play I get the following error message: “Unable to play [song name] - the connection to Spotify was lost.” It then skips to the next song and the same

For last couple of weeks have not been able to connect my products to app other than by using cable.have reset multiple times but system doesn’t seem to want to connect to my WiFi having worked for several years.any thoughts? I reset, it picks up products says they are connected but don’t show on system
I have purchased over 11 speakers so I’m a bit concerned that I can’t find a quick answer. My Play 5 starting making a static news while on or off? I disconnected...Moved to a different room...reconnected and it’s the same issue. While off the static news is low...while playing the static news is more pronounced. Can this be repaired?
Hi. Every time ‘without fail’ I go onto the sonos app I get on ‘unable to connect to sonos app’ message. Sometimes if I wait about 10mins it connects but then has dropped out half of my system. Then sometimes it will not connect to anything. Then sometimes it takes about 30seconds then I’m in. This has only recently started happening and used to work absolutely fine, even with the S2 app. There is nothing wrong with the lower connection to the sonos products, nothing wrong with the internet connection and even if I toggle off/on my phones wifi it doesn’t tend to work. Anybody else getting this issue. It’s so frustrating and am running out of ideas. I’ve even changed the wifi router channel to be on the suggested 1 or 6 (2ghz). Still nothing. Thanks Ross
Because the Sonos Move has to be set up in a wireless setup does this mean that it is susceptible to drop outs if the wifi connection is not strong? One of the reasons I like the Wired Option is that it resolved drop outs. However I find that the Sonos Move does drop out the further it is away from the router (which is quite often the case as the idea behind the Move is that it can be "moved" outside!).
I have 2 Sonos One SL speakers that were on a system at my office and now I have moved them to my house. I have tried the factory reset directions 5 times on this link below on each speaker…https://support.sonos.com/s/article/1096?language=en_US The light just slowly flashes white - never amber - then goes to solid white, then a few fast orange / red flashes then white again.
HelloBeen using a SONOS PLAY:1 for a couple of years now on Sonos 1. The controller on the PC worked fine. Decided to update to Sonos 2 as I am going to be putting a new speaker in the kitchen. So: I released the speaker within the Software, uninstalled Sonos 1, installed Sonos 2 then reconnected the speaker. Everything worked like a dream………….until……..the Sonos 2 software runs like a dog on the PC. Moving around has a lag - a really annoying lag after using Sonos 1.OK: The basics: - I work in IT so very familiar with all things IT and WiFI configuration. My house/office has a router SSID running and I have Ubiquiti Unifi running for the business which has 1 WAP on it and it’s own SSID. PC is Windows 10 Pro with an SSD and Core i7 - so please don’t say it’s the computer - it simply isn’t. The only slow aspect is the freshly loaded Sonos 2.So…...does the slow Sonos 2 point to WiFI channels? Before I go playing around I’d hopefully like a few ideas as to why the software is lagging.Tha
I cannot believe that by using a shared mobile data plan that I cannot connect and stream to my Sonos system. Apparently, read in the very fine print, by choosing to not go with a “routed” plan this configures my sonos speakers defunct!!I am outraged that such an expensive system is so badly technically managed. Especially with the world as it is today people having to work from home etc, not everyone can have a routed system. It is outrageousI, as I said, am horrified. Very very bad system pick-up. OutrageousI will never ever buy a sonos product again & I will shouting from the rooftops about this horrible inconsistency !!
Anyone experiencing issues with Sonos Boost and Powerline adapters where plunged into the same router? I’ve setup Boost through which I have c.5 Sonos devices with the Boost connected via ethernet to my router. All plays fine, everything happy. However if I then activate my TPLink AV600 Powerline main connector (connected via ethernet to router and plugged directly into power socket), the router loses all connectivity. Sonos goes offline. Switching off the TPLink AV600 main connector and the router recovers and Sonos recovers. And vice versa. Switching off Sonos and enabling TPLink AV600 Powerline main adapter and the rest of the network is fine, all TPLinks operate normally. Then powering up the Boost (whilst its connected via ethernet to the router), takes everything offline again.V.frustrating.Anyone have any ideas?I was assuming an IP address clash but doesn't seem to be it.
I just set up my Arc, Subwoofer and two Play One surround speakers to my new Sony XBR65 AH8 in my living room and toggled the switch where they turn on when the Tv is turned on, and they all work great together. HOWEVER, now I can’t even find my living room and the four speakers I have in there on my Sonos S2 app at all, whether the TV is on or not. It would be nice to use the living room speakers to play music from time to time, and I can’t do that if I can’t find them on the app!
Hey! hopefully you experts can help me - my living room set up is a recently upgraded gen 2 Play 5 and two gen 1 Play 1s as left and right - they’ve always had moments of spotty connection - even with the Gen 1 Play 5 - you could hear them stop/starting or dropping out altogether which got worse and worse up until the time when the new generation came available. Upgrading seemed to fix this issue but now a few months on the stereo pair is - at best - dropping in and out and - at worst, and at present - just not playing. They also disappear from the app regularly entirely. I’ve tried hard resets, resetting my phone and I’m just a bit fed up that so much expenditure still gives an inconsistent performance. I have the old generation play 5 still also but set up as a separate system and set as line in to my record player. My diagnostic number is 276078744 and any help is awesome edit; the play 1 gen 1 in my kitchen has also disappeared from the app completely now also.
Can I and /or how do I play the same music at the same time through my Sonos Arc and Sonos move.
Hi All,Recently I’ve had problems playing any track over 30mins in length on Sonos via the music services provided by Amazon & Calm. I get the following error very consistently,“unable to play - connection to Amazon/Calm music lost”I never had this error previously. Everything was working fine.Any tips for how I might be able to diagnose the issue/fix it?
Hello, I have 4 x Sonos Play 1s in different rooms. When playing music from my music library on the laptop, the music typically cuts out after 3-4 tracks. there is no error message - it just stops playing. I've tried changing the wifi frequency (as per some community advice) but this only worked briefly - it’s gone back to being incredibly unreliable. Intriguingly, if I play Sonos radio from the laptop it’s fine and will just keep playing until I turn it off - the cutting out is only when playing tracks from my Sonos music library. I'm now wondering it is something to do with my laptop going to sleep because…. My other big problem is this: I have the Sonos app on my phone. If the laptop is on in the house somewhere, then I can control the Sonos and play music from my phone. If the laptop is off or asleep, the phone app will only play radio on the Sonos - if I try to select some of my music, it shows it on the phone screen but then I get the spiral of ‘trying to connect’ and it ultimat
Hi everyone,Just got a Move. When I put it in Bluetooth mode, my computer sees it and pairs with it. It does not, however, connect so that I can play sound through it. How do I get this to work? My other earphones connect correctly.Any advice greatly appreciated.Bennie
Hello, my sonos one (gen 2) suddenly stopped working. As in I was listening to it in and suddenly it wouldn’t play the next song (I don’t know if it was inbetween songs or at the end of a song, I use spotify for my music streaming) and had compleatly shut off. No lights or touch controls working and no feedback at all. No connection within the app either. I’ve tried unplugging and replugging while holding pairing button (as to do a factory reset) but nothing happens at all, as well as restarting my router and plugging in a network cable. Has anything similar happened to anyone else? and if so how did you fix it?
Are there any tips how to improve my Sonos connectivity? I have a play 5 and two Ones (stereo pair) in the lounge and a One in the kitchen. My internet is terrible and am forever losing connectivity to the different products.Any ideas will be much appreciated.
I just installed a boost to my system as I was having intermittent problems of cutting in & out on the speakers. I was under the assumption that the boost would correct this issue but it has not. :( I have 6 play 1, 2 one SL, 1 beam & now 1 boost. What am i doing wrong? My diagnostic confirmation number is 307296324.
Can I hook up my playbase with an optical to hdmi arc? So that my LG magic remote will control column
Whenever I switch from a tv app like Netflix or Amazon prime, and I load up the XBox and launch a game, there is an extremely loud chirp/buzz noise that disappears. It does not happen every time. I have the Arc connected to the hdmi 2 eArc port.Tv settings are Sound out set to HDMI Arc, bitstream, and passthrough. also my sub gen 3 has a constant low level chirping noise when no sound is being played. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I have a Sonos Play 5 (Gen2), see below the information from controller (most recent S2 version) Associated Product: *local IP address*---------------------------------Play:5: SalonSerial Number: XX-XX-XX-XX-XXSonos OS: S2Version: 12.2.2 (build 61183220)Hardware Version: 1.13.1.9-2.2Series ID: C201IP Address: *local IP address*WM: 0 So, the speaker is connected through cable to the router (it’s internet box acting as router, from french operator Free). When in use, no problem: able to stream music from local library or from on-line music services, app is able to connect to the Sonos. Then, when not in use, after a while, the Sonos seems to get disconnected and disappears. It is not any more reachable from the controller, nor streaming services nor apps. The solution is to force renewal of IP address by unplugging and plugging the ethernet cable or switching off / on the Sonos speaker. So, not very convenient…I tried various configuration of the router (e.g. allocating fixed local IP a
When I stream a movie from Netflix onto my MacBook Pro in the Safari browser, then pause the movie, then unpause it, the sound is no longer playing on my Sonos Amp connected via AirPlay. I found numerous other people with the same problem on the Internet but no solution. This is obviously not acceptable.
