Sound Check from Apple Music

I have used Sonos speakers to listen to music every night when going to sleep for the past couple of years. In the past couple months though the volume on every song is wildly different. If I start off at a soft volume the next song may be blaring loud and needs to be lowered. Then the next song will be too low to hear. It did NOT used to work like this. I play directly from Apple Music on my iPhone over airplay. I have sound check turned on. This got so bad that I just bought some lower quality HomePods for my bedroom. Every song is rock solid on the same volume. I NEED this from Sonos. Please fix this

I’m getting the same issue. I used airplay because of Apple music’s soundcheck the volume would mostly be consistent. Not any more, it’s the same as streaming via the Sonos app, volume levels are all over the place.

This isn’t anything to do with Sonos, Sound Check is an Apple Music app feature. Did you update to iOS 18 or MacOs Sequoia? That is probably where the issue is, sound check isn’t working for me either on latest OSs.

Sound check works fine on my headphones just not on Sonos, it used to work ok. I have updated to iOS 18 so as you say, it’s possible that it’s a bug with the update.
