Not seeing Alexa as option for voice control in my sonos app
Hello - I just bought my first Sonos speaker (Era 100) and was going to use it as my alexa mic. For some reason - I ONLY see Sonos voice assist as an option when picking voice assist.
I’ve linked and relinked the alexa app and tried pretty much everything suggested.
Can I even use the Era 100 with Alexa voice assistant? I will be returning this speaker if not.

Nevermind… Alexa is not supported with Sonos in my Region. Will return the speaker tomorrow. What a joke of a product to say it has Alexa… Just pure scam. Thankfully I will have no problem returning it.
which doesn’t list Iceland, is part of this ‘scam’ you’re speaking of?
I’d be asking Amazon why they haven’t allowed Sonos to operate there, but I guess it’s easier to blame Sonos.

In this case - BOTH will also be loosing out cause I will be using google nest speakers and mics instead. No scam there. The products that are NOT supported in Iceland can not be BOUGHT in Iceland when it comes to Google nest. ;)

Your rant is pointless as it relates to Sonos. The links provided by @Airgetlam clearly state that Alexa is not supported in your region.
Sonos doesn’t own Amazon which Alexa is their product. If Amazon decides they aren’t going to give Sonos a license to use Alexa on products sold in Iceland; Sonos can’t force them. One has nothing to do with the other! Sonos as a speaker is obviously supported in Iceland as is Sonos voice.
You have no idea of what a Scam is. Your last sentence…makes no sense at all as you seem to have a misunderstanding of the word “support” as it relates to Sonos and their doing business in Iceland.

I suggest you contact your government agency below and present your case as you seem to have strong feelings that you are the victim of a Scam.
So happy I’m returning my Sonos Speaker if this is what you call supporting community… ;) But hey… fans are obviously everywhere. Not that it will help Sonos to improve at all.
Thankfully - I also contacted the real support of Sonos and my feedback was moved on to the team so the company can improve in the future. It’s for example very easy to make it clear that certain features like Alexa are not supported in many regions by just adding that on the box the product is in. But hey… that’s something the fans don’t understand… ;)
