Hi all. I recently bought a turntable (Project debut carbon evo) which is connected to a pair of fives via a RCA to 3.5mm cable. It’s my first turntable so very new and still learning (more complicated than I imagined). The turntable is connected via an external pre-amp (Pro-Ject Phono Box E Phono Pre Amplifier)
As soon as I select ‘line in’ as the source in the Sonos app I get what I would describe as static/white noise from the right speaker connected to the line in. I do not get this from the wireless speaker. Sound quality is still generally good on playback but having heard it, it’s bugging me and it must be impairing the sound quality. Is this normal? If not any suggestions on how to resolve? The turntable and amp are grounded and I’ve checked all connections are secure etc.
thanks
