In my lounge, I have an old turntable connected to a Technics amp as well as a pair of passive speakers. In the same room, I have a Playbar and two Play Ones connected by optical and WiFi system to the TV for a ‘cinema setup.’I want to get a better turntable and speakers so I’m wondering what the best way of doing this would be:A new turntable connected directly through line in to two Era 100 speakers (I think 300s would be overkill for a 18 foot x 10 foot lounge?) which would replace the Play Ones. Saving space would be desirable. A new turntable connected by BT to two Era 100s (could they act as TV speakers as well? Would I still need the Playbar?) A new turntable, keep the amp but replace the speakers with better ones. Lots of other ways of doing this but my priorities are improving sound and using less space.I would be grateful for any input (so to speak!)

If you replace the existing rear speakers with Eras the line in function won’t work, because it’s not active in a home theater setup.
My choice would be a Sonos amp with new passive speakers replacing the playbar. The existing Ones could also be used as rear speakers with the amp as a home theater system.
So you could connect your tv via hdmi arc and the turntable (with a phono pre amp between) via cinch to the Sonos amp. Imho a quite good setup for tv surround sound and hifi audio as well.
