Hello,

I have a Pro-ject turntable connected to my Sonos Era 100 and i would like to listen to records with a bluetooth headphone. I had big hopes for the Sonos Ace to work on WiFi but unfortunately the Ace only works with Bluetooth. I understand that my Era 100 has Bluetooth but only can receive and not transmit.  Does anybody solved this problem already?

thanks for the reply. It’s indeed not a cheap option, but because my wife and children don’t appreciate my choice of music i will consider your option. Do you know if the old Sonos Connect will also work with the transmitter?

Yes a ‘Connect’ has an optical out port so maybe look at the 1Mii B03 Pro transmitter/receiver with the older Connect. See link:

Yes I use a Sonos Port with S/PDIF coax ouputt to a Fiio B03 Pro Bluetooth transmitter and that can play the audio out to the Ace, or any Bluetooth headphones, or speakers, using any Sonos audio source, including Turntable line-in audio, Sonos Radio etc.

Sadly it is not a cheap option, but in my case I had the Sonos Port and Fiio TX/RX before purchasing the Ace headphones.

Ken, I know this has nothing to do with this thread but I wanted to leave a big thank you for your comment regarding adding 2 Era 100s to a Beam, specifically removing them as a stereo pair first. You have no idea how long I was going round in circles trying to figure out why the Eras and the Beam wouldn’t talk to each other. There’s zero guidance from Sonos regarding this, and I only happened on your comment after 20 different searches! Thank you my friend.

Ah thanks for taking the time here to post that feedback (appreciate that) - glad one of my earlier posts were helpful to you. 👍

I purchased a used Gen 2 Connect recently added the Blue Tooth Transmitter from above, the 1MiiPlus Pro, and magically added a room called EARS. Now I can play any streaming source within SONOS APP on my headphones, (turntable, Tidal, Ark watching TV) It is what I expected from the beginning. Not sure if Sonos ever has this in mind for the Ace in the future, but it works NOW and fantastic!!
