Hi. I’m new to the Sonos family and have 4 Sonance ceiling speakers connected to an amp. An Arc and Sub. Set up as 2 groups. I’m thinking of adding a turntable and am a bit limited with wiring it to the amp.
I’m thinking of a wireless turntable and been researching Victrola Onyx/Carbon. Anyone got experience of these or something similar that can wirelessly (not Bluetooth) get integrated with the Sonos set up?

A Sonos Port will also integrate with your system allowing you to use any Turntable you like.

You could substitute any Sonos speaker with a Line-In for the Port, saving money and it might be nice to have another speaker.

For critical listening the Arc and Sub are going to sound pretty good. I’d give them a try before spending more on speakers. If they are not satisfactory I’d look at a properly positioned Pair of Fives. Era 300s would work and give you Atmos but from reports (I’ve not heard them in a good room) you’d want at least a mini-Sub and maybe a full Sub. Era 100s and a Sub would work too but be a step down from either of the other options.

Hi

My research says the Victrola Onyx is Sonos compatible. So much so its an advertising point of note on the Victrola website.

I have no experience with the turntable; however, there is a tongue-in-cheek review on WIRED which supports the claim. If you are leaning that direction I’d send the audio to the Arc or a set of Fives. Overhead speakers IMO will not provide the proper listening experience except as background audio..

Hi

I understand why @Stanley_4 suggested the Port and Sonos speakers with line-in order to use any turntable.

However if you still prefer the Victrola it does have a line-out like other turntables. That covers use scenarios that @Stanley_4 m…I believe was leaning toward. It also has a built-in pre-amp. So basically it will fit the bill in any situation.
