After several talks with tech support and browsing through all the highly technical and confusing messages on here, I could not get my Sony turntable to play with my older generation Sonos system. I have a One, a Move, and a soundbar, and didn’t want to replace those. Returned the Sony turntable, got the Victrola Stream Onyx on sale for $399 and in FIVE MINUTES I had the turntable setup and playing through my existing system. It sounds beautiful. If you are struggling to play vinyl on your existing system, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Victrola Stream!! Wish I’d just started out with it and wanted to share what I learned the hard way.

Just a note regarding the products you own: there’s nothing in the items listed that could take any kind of wired input from a turntable so the switch was a good one. A device with line-in such as a Five, or Era 100/300 with the line-in adaptor, would be needed.
Thats my point for others with older equipment. With the Victrola Stream turntable, line-in capability is not necessary — it doesn’t matter what generation your Sonos equipment is! You download the Victrola Stream app, connect the turntable to your home network via Wi-Fi, and play through the Sonos speakers instantly. It could not be easier. It took me five minutes and I’m not technically competent. I am SO HAPPY that I can play records over my existing Sonos system without hard wiring!
