I have a similar setup with same problem. Problem began with latest Sonos app update.  I had a copy of the previous app on an ipad which had not updated to the new app.  It works just fine with the old app.  It appears to be another bug with the new app update.  Another thing for Sonos to add to the list for fixing.

That's good to know! Thanks for posting this.

Hopefully someone from Sonos will see this and get it fixed in the next update.

it doesnt need a fix if you have a line in speaker it shows them all you just choose the one you want to use and press play

https://play.sonos.com/

go to this page scroll to the bottom it shows all your line in speaker you have to choose the 1 you want and press play

Hi @crazy horse

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear of the issue you were/are having with playing Line-in. What you describe (Line-In not playing after selecting it, but does after then pressing play) is not expected behaviour, and we are unable to reproduce it in our own testing.

I was going to request that you get in touch, but I don’t think you’ll want to wait in the queue for a long time when you already have a work-around! Instead, could you please recreate the issue, and submit a support diagnostic once after tapping on Line In but it doesn’t play, and once again after you have tapped Play and it starts working? Please don’t share the diagnostic numbers here - just let me know when you’ve done it, and I’ll find them. Thanks!

Just to confirm - it was working as per normal (after the app update) until you added the Play:5s as surround speakers, and after removing the surrounds, the speaker now has this behaviour even after a full factory reset? Is that all correct? Have you tested with the other Play:5? Is it the same?

I look forward to hearing back from you.
