I have several Sonos speakers and all are powered, like a remote, play 1, play 5, etc. and i have been using an Amp but it failed recently. So i was wondering if the Port could be used instead. I have an Audio-technica AT-LP120-USB Direct-Drive turntable with a line-in pre amp.
it the Sonos Amp overkill? Would the port work? I also have a bridge to connect everything using WiFi.

If you just want to use your turntable with your existing Sonos speakers, any Sonos device supporting the analogue input would fit. There are different speakers (the Five, Era300 and 100 or Move2) and also the Port and the Amp that support that. I recommend taking a closer look at those on Sonos product pages to decide which one fits best for you.
For Move2 and the Eras you also need the Sonos audio to isb c adapter.
Port and Amp themselves are no speakers and used for special usage. They only make sense, if you also want to integrate some passive speakers (with Amp) or active speakers or an AVR (with Port) to Sonos.
The Bridge is S1 only so many newer Sonos won’t use it.
You probably should look at removing the Bridge from your system in any case, almost everyone is better off using WiFi instead of the Bridge. The option to wire any Sonos and use that instead of the Bridge is also there but usually WiFi works out better in the end.
