Playing vinyl through sonos speakers

I have a Project turntable running through a vintage Pioneer Receiver—SX 828, and just recently added a Sonos Port. It works great to stream from our phones through the Pioneer and also the Sonos 5 and Era 100, but when I try to play vinyl, I can’t get anything out of the Sonos side. Still plays great through our Pioneer system. For the Port, I have the out going to the AUX to stream, and then ran RCA’s from the Tape Recording to the Port’s in, but still nothing. The app shows that my line in is a turntable, but it never shows anything playing, so I am clearly not setting something. Have confirmed that this receiver has a signal out for that Recording connection, so think it is something to do with how I have the Port configured. Open to any suggestions.

As far as the SONOS side is concerned, PORT’s Line-In is simply a network resource that can be played in any combination of SONOS Rooms. Even though Line-In and Line-Out share the same ‘box’ there is no automatic connection between the two.

In another Room, ERA 100 for example, select PORT’s Line-In as the source.

I am a bit confused how to select the Port’s line. If I look at the setting for the Era 100, it shows the Line In as disconnected.

On the controller home page scroll down to Line-In.

I know I am being dense here and really appreciate your help. This is what I see for system settings, and I can’t get to the Line in.

Not Settings, the main page, mine says "Stan's Sonos" at the top.

Really apologize. I am usually tech savvy. Here is what I have for the main page and if I page down, I don’t see a line in.

Btw, switched back to streaming from my phone, so maybe that is the issue.

I don't have a Line-In to play with.

Maybe if you sign in?

I don't see the Sources section there, mine shows my Music Library, think Line-In would be there too.

So the Line in is not under “sources”?

For all intents and purposes the Port should be seen as a Tape deck. Not completely sure because my amplifiers lawyer showed “Tape in” and “Tape out”, but I think the “out” on the Port should be connected to the connection labelled “MON”, while the “in” on the Port should be connected to the connections labelled “REC”.

Looking at the pictures found on the internet I am not sure how to select the connection labelled “Mon” on the amplifier though.
