Hello everyone,

I have a turntable with a built-in preamplifier. Until now, the turntable was connected directly to my Sonos Era 300 speaker with a cable. I now need to move the speakers and I'm looking for a way to connect the speaker to the turntable.

I saw the Sonos Port, but the price seems high just to connect a turntable to a speaker.

Are there any Sonos-compatible alternatives?

Thanks in advance!

You could use the Line-In adapter on an Era 100, which would give you an extra speaker, or you could look to connect a Bluetooth transmitter to your turntable and connect to the Era 300s over Bluetooth.

The Era 100 is your best bet but a used Connect that is S2 compatible (older ones aren't) might be the cheapest, but with  the risks of old and used.

Not a fan of Bluetooth for high quality sound but it might be good enough for you.

A bit of a runaround but a solution that worked for me (with a very old turntable) was to buy a cheap external preamp and a Bluetooth transmitter.

We own a Roam...simply send the Bluetooth to the Roam, add other speakers/stereo pairs to a group, then mute the Roam.  Works a treat.
