Cross posting in this group: I bought a bundle from Sonos -- Era 100 and Pro-Ject turntable with all the cables and adapters included.

It's all set up but the audio from the Sonos speaker is VERY faint and also sounds like static. I have double and triple checked the cables to make sure they are all plugged in tightly and correctly. I am using the “Line In” source via the Sonos app. I have played with all the audio settings and nothing makes a difference. Tried multiple records as well.

Called Sonos and the wait time to speak with someone is an hour. Hoping someone can help?

Does the Project turntable have a built in preamp? If it does not you will need to get a preamp to boost the audio of the turntable (phono) to line level that the Sonos accepts.

If the turntable does have a preamp, then look into the settings for the 100. There is a source level within the line in menu. Change it to level 8, 9 or 10 to suit your needs.

Hi there, it does not appear a pre-amp is needed (and it's not mentioned on the Sonos website). It says:

"Connect the turntable with the included Sonos Line-In Adapter and any 3.5 mm auxiliary cable."

I am using the adapter and aux cable.

Solved: I found the switch on the side of the built in pre amp and all is functioning now!
