I have 2 gen 1 play:5 speakers and am using the S1 app. I would love to add a turntable -- are there any reccomendations on anything that would be compatible and not require a ton of extra components?

Purchase something with an internal phono preamp. All the Pro-Ject models sold by Sonos have one. Then you just need an RCA to 3.5 mm stereo cable. Also look at any of the Victrola Stream models, which will connect wirelessly to any Sonos system.
