.: Greetings, all. Last year in 2024 I purchased a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO turntable. With help from many on this forum, I was able to buy a Sonos Port pre-amp, and all was well with the new product. I could easily switch between the LG tv and the Pro-Ject turntable.

A couple of days ago, I decided I wanted to change some of the EQ settings for the sound for the turntable. I discovered that changing the Bass, Treble, and Balance Control Settings does not make any difference, nor does the Loudness option.

I have no idea how to correct this function. The rest of my Sonos speakers (Arc SL, two One SL’s) are working fine.

If anyone has any advise on how to correct the currently non-functional EQ controls on my Sonos App, please let me know. Thank you in advance for your assistant and guidance.

There seems to be some confusion on your side as to the function of the Port, the pre-amp and the line in as a source.

The Port is there to get the sound into your Sonos system. The pre-amp is needed to turn the RIAA typ signal into a usable line in signal to the Port (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RIAA_equalization for what a pre-amp does). You stating “The Pro-Jett Turntable Line-In box has no function anymore” seems strange to me - as said it is needed for the Port. Lastly, the “Line in”, though technically a connection to the Port, is used as a Line in to the system. You can either choose that when playing music or using the soundbar as the standard output for the Port (one of the settings in the Port).

Just a side note: why is the volume on the Port set to “Variable”? Since you are playing the Line in on the soundbar, volume should be governed by the soundbar. So the volume on the Port should be set to “Fixed”.
