Hi all,

I have my Pioneer VSX 923  that connect to my phonograph.

Now I want to connect this receiver to sonos speakers.

This is possible? Which sonos speaker should I buy?

If you want to keep using the Pioneer you could use the Sonos Port to bring sound from your receiver to Sonos speakers and vice versa. The Pioneer should have an RCA in and an out for this. Does it come with that?

When the Port is connected you can choose it’s line in as a source for other speakers.

Phonograph: “An early form of gramophone using cylinders and able to record as well as reproduce sound.” I assume you mean a turntable. 😉

Do you have any Sonos speakers already? Is there a TV involved?

What would be the use cases?

  • Playing the turntable (and anything else from the receiver) through the Sonos speakers?
  • Playing sources from Sonos into the receiver and its speakers?

Hi Ratty

Yes thanks, I mean turntable.

I do not have for now any sonos speakers.

My Pioneer receiver is connect to TV by optic cable, and to the turntable by red/white cable 3.5 mm stereo.

Use case-

Playing the turntable (and anything else from the receiver) through the Sonos speakers- yes. I would like to change my regular speakers to sonos speakers so I can scatter the speakers around the house when needed.

If there is an option to stay with my original pioneer speakers and to add the sonos speakers, this will be great too.

Thanks again.

Guy
