Hi all.

I’ve been trying all morning to get this set up, and I have failed. I’m normally pretty good with tech, but I cannot get this to work in the way I want.

I have:

  • Beam Gen 2
  • Play:1 x 2 as satellites.
  • Connect
  • Audio-technica turntable (with line out)

The turntable and connect are a birthday gift for my wife. She loves vinyl. She hates tech. I need a way that she can just hit start on the turntable, and magically music will come out of the speakers.

Currently the beam and play:1 are connected to the TV as a surround system. 

I tried grouping the connect and beam etc as a separate group called “record player” and set it to auto play, but it doesn’t appear to have worked. I still have to go to system, and link the 2 when I play a record.

Any tips on the best way to set this up?

Go to the settings for the Connect Room.  Scroll down and select the Line-In.  Select Autoplay Room and choose the Beam room.  That will cause the Line-In on the Connect to play to the Beam room whenever it senses input.
