ARC + OneSL's +Sub + Turntable?

Hi there - I’m looking to buy one of the turntables, but the website says compatible with “select products” - and I don’t see any of my set-up mentioned.  I’d be really grateful if someone could assure me that my set-up (Arc, OneSL’s (as surrounds), Sub) is compatible with any of the Sonos turntables?

Many thanks all.

Short answer is no

you need a product with a line in to add a turntable like a Sonos 5

Ah, gotcha - thank you @skullc

So in effect, I could get one of the compatible products, connected via line-adapter (e.g. https://www.sonos.com/en-gb/shop/turntable-set-pro-ject-t1-turntable-era-100) and, in turn, connect the era-100 to the rest via the app?

Thanks again for the quick reply.

No problem you are not limited to the turntables offered by Sonos for example I use a Rega Planar 1 with a preamp which cost me £299

Some turntables may link-in to Sonos using Bluetooth too - here’s a quick summary, whether you use a line-in connection (recommended) or have a TT with Bluetooth…

You will need to use a Sonos product that has a line-in port or Bluetooth Receiver (Rx) as follows…

  • Port/Connect (no BT Rx)
  • Amp/Connect:Amp (no BT Rx)**
  • Five/Play:5 (gen2) (no BT Rx)**
  • Era-100 (has BT Rx) (requires additional dongle)**
  • Era-300 (has BT Rx) (requires additional dongle)**
  • Sonos Move 2 (has BT Rx) (requires additional dongle)
  • Sonos Roam/SL - has no line-in, but has BT Rx only

** Note: If any of the above compatible devices are used as a HT Surround, then their line-in port and Bluetooth Rx both become disabled.

Once the TT is connected, it can play to any/all Sonos products - a line-in connection is the recommended/preferred option.

Here are links to the two Sonos adapters that are currently available to use (if required):

This next link is also worth reading as it supplies a lot of good information about using a Turntable with Sonos speakers…

@SerenityNOW

And if money isn’t an issue there‘s another option… 😉 The Victrola Turntable has got the official WWS (works with Sonos) label and directly streams via wifi to any room of your Sonos system.

Oh wow - thanks Ralf.  Do you know if the Hi-Res version is worth the stretch in price?

Sorry, not using the device myself. But as I understand the product page the Hi-Res version doesn‘t support Works With Sonos.

Amazing - thanks guys.  Lots of scope here. Think I'm going Victrola non hi-res, but stuff to put a pin in if I'm feeling reckless enough to level-up! Cheers.
