Hie

i have an old Samsung tv that does not have Bluetooth, so I just bought Move 2 speaker and a Bluetooth transmitter that runs through the audio system of the tv .

Now my problem is how do I connect the speaker to the tv as I have not seen the option to search for Bluetooth devices on the Sonos app. Can someone help me on this please.

Make sure the switch on the transmitter is set to RX (Receiver Mode).

Here are the instructions:

Bluetooth Receiver Mode

Step 1 - Switch to RX and connect via audio cable to your old speakers/amp/car audio.

Step 2 - Long press until the LED flashes red and blue, which means the ML301 is in pairing mode.

Step 3 - Start Bluetooth on your phone/computer, select ML301 to connect and enjoy music wirelessly.

Thank you , I’m aware of those instructions, my issue is connecting my speaker to the Bluetooth transmitter connected at the back of an old Samsung, how do I find the Bluetooth transmitter with the Sonos app or speaker

You need to put both the Move 2 and BT transmitter in pairing mode.

What model BT transmitter do you have?

you're almost there with getting your Samsung TV connected to the Move 2 speaker using the Bluetooth transmitter. Since your TV doesn’t have Bluetooth built-in, the Bluetooth transmitter is definitely a good solution, but there are a few key steps to get everything working smoothly. First and foremost, you’ll want to double-check that the Bluetooth transmitter is in RX (Receiver Mode), as that’s the setting that allows it to connect to Bluetooth speakers like your Move 2. If the transmitter is in TX (Transmitter Mode), it won’t connect with the speaker, as TX mode is designed for sending Bluetooth signals to devices, not receiving them. Once the transmitter is set to RX, you’ll connect it to your TV’s audio output, usually through a standard 3.5mm audio cable, and then put the transmitter into pairing mode. This is typically done by holding the power button until the LED flashes red and blue, signaling that it’s ready to pair.

After the transmitter is in pairing mode, open up the Sonos app and check to see if the Move 2 speaker shows up for pairing. It should automatically detect the Bluetooth signal coming from the transmitter. If the speaker doesn't appear right away, try closing and reopening the app, or even restarting both the app and the transmitter to reset the connection. Sometimes, Bluetooth pairing can be a little finicky, so a quick reset might help. If you're still having trouble, it could be worth checking the manual for your Bluetooth transmitter to see if there are any specific pairing instructions or compatibility notes for your particular model. Hopefully, following these steps will get your Move 2 connected without a hitch, and you’ll be able to enjoy the sound wirelessly from your TV in no time!
