port - no audio

Hello
just hooked up new Sonos Port... trying to play home stereo(turntable, cd, etc) through preamp through Port to Sonos speakers.
not working:(
need help

Assuming you have your stereo set to the right input and your preamp/turntable/CD player set correctly...the first thing I'd check is that the Port is set to play the line in input. In the Sonos app, can you see that the Port is playing line in source?

That's the most obvious thing to check first.

line in is activated on Port in settings.
still nothing coming through

Are you also using any streaming services through Sonos? If so, does that play through your home stereo?

Were you using this same turntable, preamp, home stereo setup before you added the Port?

Hello

You need to select a room (speaker) where you want to hear the audio. In the app it's called the auto-play room. That works better than having to group a room to the Port every time you use the device connected to it.

Also, be sure to set the volume level for the auto-play room to 50% or less so as not to have extremely loud audio noise when the signal is sent.
