Bonjour,

Hello,

I am very close (impatient) to buying a Sonos Arc soundbar accompanied by two Era 300 and a Mini Sub.

Mainly for streaming movies and series (AppleTV, Netflix, Disney+) as well as music on Apple Music.

My configuration with Sonos equipment: LG OLED55C17LB TV with eArc and Dolby Atmos compatible as well as an Apple TV 4K.

  1. Will I take full advantage of Dolby Atmos technology on all Sonos equipment with the Apple TV 4K as support?
  2. Connection: If I understand correctly, I will have to connect the Apple TV to the soundbar as well as the Sonos Arc to the HDMI eArc port of my LG?

Thank you for your help, I feel a little lost with all this information and compatibility, I'm not sure I understood everything :)!

You will get Atmos, but just to add the soundbar only is connected to the TV’s HDMI-eARC port (HDMI-2 on LG TV’s).. (Enhanced Audio Return Channel)

The Apple TV 4K should be attached to one of the TV’s other HDMI inputs.

You will get Dolby Atmos when available with that setup.

You must connect the Apple TV to an HDMI input on the LG TV and then connect the eARC from the LG to the input on the Arc soundbar.

Set the TV to these settings:

HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream

Digital Sound Output: Pass Through

eARC Support: On

Set the Apple TV audio settings to this:

Change Format: Off

Dolby Atmos: On

Make sure the TV has the latest firmware installed.
