Sonos Amp with Outdoor Passibe Sub

Hello - I am setting up my outdoor system and am having issues finding an outdoor sub that will work….  Does anyone know what sub I can use with this?  There are VERY few outdoor active subs out there.  What about passive?  Does that mean I need ANOTHER amp just for the sub??

thanks!

Seems an odd thing for @Pools-3015 to post, I would hope it is in error. I suspect what they meant to post is something like this:

Amazon US Link

But that isn’t a particular recommendation, it’s just the results of a search, you should choose what you prefer.

IMO, a passive sub with an seperate amplifier would be the way to go. It would be an easy swap if the speaker was damaged by the elements.

Sonos doesn’t make any permanent outdoor speakers. The closest they come are their portable line, the Roam and the Move 2, but both are meant to not be left outside. What kind of ‘outdoor system’ are you setting up?

Thank you!  My current issue is, the Sonos Amp has a mono Sub Output (standard)…  Almost ALL sub amps have Left and Right inputs.  How would I connect the output of the Sonos Sub to an amp this way??

Most Subs I’ve used in the past accept a single input, often it is explained in the manual for the Sub. You could also get a simple RCA cable that takes a single output, and splits that into two inputs.

This is what you need if the sub has dual RCA inputs

Im so sorry @soccerdude71. I didn't realize that page was still on the clipboard. I was replying from my phone while cooking for my stepdad with that condition. I had looked it up earlier in the day, and had sent that link to family.

As @Airgetlam  supplied a correct link to the type to cable needed for the Amp and non-Sonos sub.
