Plastic speaker casings/housings cacking, peeling and breaking on their own

I’m about to buy a pair of Era 300 speakers to replace my One SL’s as surround for my setup.  However, as I was cleaning my One SL’s last night, I discovered cracks on both of the speakers near the top side edges.  This had me really worried because my old Play 1’s bought in 2017 had developed these cracks after 5 years, and they started peeling and tiny pieces breaking off eventually.  The One SL’s are less than 2 years old.  I then searched the internet and found a lot of people are having similar issues with all kinds of Sonos products including the Era100s which just came out last year.

Sonos really needs to do something to address this issue.  There’s a nice Father’s Day deal for the Era 300 right now, but I don’t think I would risk investing further in Sonos products, not until this is addressed.

P.S attached a pic of one of my Play 1’s; you can see that there’re some holes now on the top after all the peeling and breaking off.
