Why Won't My Speakers Appear??

Hi There,I am getting a bit tired of the Sonos ecosystem. What used to work near flawlessly has become nothing but a nuisance since I added new speakers and was forced to use the S2 App. I have a Play: 1, SonosOne, Play:3, Play:5 (2nd gen), and a Move. The older speakers rarely show up in the app. Last night was a rare occasion where all speakers appeared. I played some music in 2 of the rooms (Play:5 and Move). Five minutes later I wanted to change songs and only the Move and SonosOne were in the app. If I check my wife’s phone, she will see something entirely different. If I use the app for my Windows Desktop, I will see different speakers than what my phone shows. But rarely, and I mean rarely, will all 5 speakers show up. I can still somewhat control them even though they won’t show up. For example, if I was previously playing music on that speaker, I can hit play on the speaker and it will play music. But I cannot change music because they don’t show up in the app. It is so frustr

Sonos SL Won't Maintain WiFi Connection

I purchased a Sonos One SL in April and it has worked pretty reliably until a couple weeks ago. Now, it won’t maintain a connection on the 2.4 or 5ghz band for more than a few hours. I have tried resetting the router and switching to a different channel on the 2.4 ghz band. The Sonos usually sits about 30-40 feet from the router. If I move the Sonos closer to the router, the connection is reestablished. But when I move the Sonos to my bedroom, the connection eventually drops. My router is an Asus AC88U. None of my other devices have trouble connecting to the router.  Could the Sonos have a faulty WiFi radio. I appreciate any help with fixing this problem.

Sub under sofa but no air space?

Is the 1”/2.5cm air gap between subs and bottom of sofa an absolute requirement or can the sub work if perhaps the bottom material of the sofa is completely covering the sub??The material has some give upwards, ie it’s not a hard fixed base of the sofa that is pressing onto the sub.  Whilst it may not be ideal I’m trying to work out how much it will impact the sound having no airflow around the sub thanks for your advice and thoughts - oh and “put it out in the open cos it’s beautiful” isn’t really going to help me. Wife wants it hidden and trying to keep everyone happy.  thanks

Update 14.19 - Music stream and/or speakers dropping out.

Hi,Has anyone noticed that since installing update 14.19 an intermittent problem of total loss of sound, or the 'odd' speaker dropping out, sometimes for up to approx. 5 secs?  More of an irritation than anything  else.  Never experienced this before and nothing obvious has changed on my network.I suspect the update is the problem but, one issue the update did 'cure' was a problem I had with speakers auto grouping post the previous update.Diagnostic (1066513742) provided within 5 mins of the last occurrence of this 'new' issue occurring. Any suggestions?

upgraded the app, groups not working properly.

Since upgrade the app, I cannot get the groups ‘Upstairs’ and Downstairs to work together. The app won’t allow this. Yet I can select the speakers independently.

Hiya, I am currently running a playbar 1.9.1  and 2 x play 5s. 1.13 & 2 x play 1s 1.21. Will i be able to still run my play 5s and play 1s  from a sonos ray or beam ?.

Can't Find System

I have about 10 Sonos speakers (over the space of 10 years), and now (about 6-10 months ago), I can not connect to any of them. I can see them on-linesudo arp-scan -I eth0 192.168.1.1/24I can ping them, etc., but my android app can not connect to any of them. I should also mention that over the space of 10 years, Sonos has worked very poorly. Don’t touch it; it’s expensive, very poorly supported, and mostly doesn’t work.

play 5 is consistently unreliable

I won’t buy another Sonos product. I’m tired of having to go through the set up and reconnection process every single time I leave it for a few days. Sonos needs to make their products as plug and play as Apple for me to come back. I have owned my play 5 for two years and in that time I have had to go through the setup/reconnection process dozens of times. It’s ridiculous.

I have a pair of sonos one sl speakers still in the box that Im trying to sell. Im trying to sell them instead of returning them because I do not have the receipt……. any takers??? issues with re-adding a Symfonisk speaker to my system

I have a Symfonisk speaker which I have added some time ago. Due to constant issues with it not being available in the app or for Airplay I have reset it to factory settings and re-added it.everything works fine until the moment when the app tells me I need to register it into my system. This step fails every time.any idea how this can be fixed?thanks

Sonos Five lousy bass using trueplay without depth or forcefulness

Sonos Five the trueplay is lousy the records lose presence and forcefulness even adjusting them do not improve, in Jazz the records have no depth and the reggaeton less and if you turn up the records in the settings the records sound artificial and forced.  It sounds better without trueplay and setting the treble to 2+ and the record to 1+ in case and volume 50, you could investigate please.

Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 and Denon AVR-S650H

I have a Denon AVR-S650H receiver which has wifi/bluetooth capabilities. Can my Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 connect to this receiver via wifi/bluetooth without additional hardware? Trying to connect as rear channel speakers with no success. I do not want to connect via cables or cords to the receiver. My research efforts found that I may need the SONOS AMP

Sonos Roam forces other devices off system

I just bought a Sonos Roam to add to my current system of Ray, Ikea Symfonisk Lamp and Ikea Symfonisk Frame.The current system has worked without flaws for 3 months, no problem setting it up. I easily connected my new Roam to the system, and it worked fine the first evening.However, today it is completely broken. First, the Symfonisk Lamp just disappeared from the system. After a lot of hassle resetting it, I managed to get re-add it, but then the Roam stopped working, and eventually disappeared. I reconnected it, then the entire System disappeared from my app. After cutting power to all units and restarting my phone, all devices were apparently working. However, now only 3 of the 4 devices will play at any given time. It seems like the unit I am farthest away from will simply stop playing, but start playing again a few seconds after I approach it, and other units than the Roam randomly disappears and reappears in the “system” section of my app.What is happening here? Play:1 won't play through either Spotify on Android or Echo Show

I tell Spotify on two different Pixel 6s to play music on my Play:1 speakers and it thinks it’s playing but no sound. Same if I ask Alexa to play via Echo. I can see SonosZP on my network. I dropped speakers from Alexa and Sonos app, I have unplugged and plugged in again, same result. Any ideas?

One SL stop playing music after one song of an album stored on android phone

Hi,I encounter a problem with my sonos One SL.My One SL stop playing after one song of an album (store as MP3 on my phone : Samsung A52S Android V12). All the album is on the playlist, and music starts again when I unlock my phone and go on the app.I have no problem with radios so far or others music applications. I check all Android parameters for sleep mode, application not used, battery saving and everything is disabled. My WI-FI settings seems OK.I check different topics but nothing solve this issue.Any idea what can be the problem ?Thanks for the help.

looses wireless connection regularly

When I switch my Sonos  from tv to anything else, it looses the network connection and all 5 pieces of my system need to be reinstalled. And it looses the connection to the television. Today I can’t even do that. I really wish I hadn’t invested in Sonos. Something is always wrong with it.

Arc - pop then no sound on Atmos

Really frustrating issue. Set up is Apple TV 4K to Sony Bravia TV, with eARC to Sonos arc. Every time I listen to something with Dolby Atmos, ~30s in there’s a loud pop and then no audio until I reboot everything. Anyone else with a similar setup and no issues want to share their settings? Based on how long this issue goes back it seems like something Sonos would really want to fix. I’ve had multiple couples/friends that were about to pull the trigger and buy a Sonos system after seeing how well it plays music throughout the house that ultimately decided to go with something else after sitting through a movie cycle of start movie with atmos, get 30s in, startling pop, then no audio, turn off and repeat x3, give up and watch something else.

How to remove Play:1 from my S1 Controller?

I just want to remove a Play:1 from my S1 Controller, and then add it to my S2 Controller. It seems that would be a rather common procedure, but I cannot find it either online within Sonos or on third-party sites.

Play:3 Hardware Failure - Workarounds?

Purchased a “NIB” Play:3 via Ebay and attempted to connect to my existing system of five (working) Play:1s. Out of the box, the Play:3’s LED flashes white and the mute button flashes green.My mobile device is a Pixel 4XL running an up to date S2 controller app. The app will find the Play:3 and can identify the unit’s serial number, but pressing/holding the mute button does not connect the Play:3 to the existing system. I went through the normal troubleshooting steps (cabled to the router, device w/in 3’ of speaker and router), and never got a green LED.Per the Sonos guides, I performed a reboot, and a factory reset. While holding the mute button during the reset, the LED flashed white 5x, a longer 6th flash, another 4x white flashes, orange 16x, then back to white flashes.Started a chat session with Sonos support, went through the same troubleshooting steps with the agent (reboot, factory reset 3x with the same LED behavior as above), and their determination is a hardware failure.
