I’m afraid to ask, but I suppose I must.

I upgraded my router.  I set up the Wifi settings to be the same. SSID, password, etc.  Amazingly everything is coming back nicely, except for my many, many Sonos speakers.

Why can’t they just reconnect?  It seems to want me to go through some kind of setup.  This would be hellish because I have the following:

  1. Sonos Arc, subwoofer, two surrounds
  2. Sonos Beam, subwoofer, two surrounds.
  3. Sonos Ray, two surrounds
  4. Sonos Ray, two surrounds
  5. 4 Sonos One SLs in other less listened to places.

Yes, that’s 17 speakers.  How do I get them to reconnect without a burning hell of resetting everything?

Thanks.

Reboot all Sonos speakers, then check what the position is with your speakers.

When replacing a router, you must reboot network clients or there is potential for mayhem. Try rebooting a couple SONOS units. They may inform the others of the change.

Routers “lease” IP addresses for a period, typically 24 hours. After 24 hours clients return to the router to “renew” their IP addresses. Changing routers can result in chaos immediately after the change that MAY work out over the next 24 hours. I suggest that, after everything comes online, you “reserve” or “fix” IP addresses for all regular network clients. This is a router setting that will prevent this sort of mayhem until the router is next replaced.

Refrain from Factory Reset without further consult.

What is model your new router? If you login to the router management interface, can you see the Sonos devices connected?

Also, just checking, the old router and/or any old access points/ network extenders have been powered off?
